Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that the Rams explored trading veteran wide receiver Davante Adams this offseason, but ultimately, he's expected to remain with the team for a second year doing into the 2026 season, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. The Rams also considered trading for Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown, which would have pushed Adams out of L.A. "We are glad he's a Ram," McVay said. The Rams were transparent with Adams through the process. The 33-year-old six-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro pass-catcher took the Rams' offense to a new level in his first year with the team in 2025, catching 60 of his 114 targets for 789 yards and a league-high 14 touchdowns in 14 regular-season starts. It was the third time in his career that he's led the league in TD receptions. Puka Nacua is still the alpha receiver in the Rams' offense, but Adams will continue to get his as a touchdown-dependent WR2 with plenty of injury risk in L.A.'s high-octane and high-scoring offense.--Keith Hernandez
