Make sure you’re following RotoBaller on X and download the RotoBaller app for all your fantasy football needs. Below are our start ‘em and sit ‘em picks for Week 11.

QB Starts - Week 11 Fantasy Football

J.J. McCarthy - QB, Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears

McCarthy has struggled during most of his four career starts. He threw two interceptions against the Baltimore Ravens last weekend, but he did throw for a career-high 248 passing yards.

The young signal-caller now squares off against the Chicago Bears for the second time this season. This could be a spot where McCarthy posts a solid performance. The Bears rank 26th in FTN Fantasy’s defensive passing DVOA and have allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this year, per Fantasy Football Today.

Gamers can view McCarthy as a streamer in single quarterback leagues and a QB2 play in superflex leagues.

Tua Tagovailoa - QB, Miami Dolphins vs. Washington Commanders

Dan Quinn will take over defensive play-calling duties for Washington this week, but it may not make much of a difference, as the Commanders' defense has been atrociously bad this year. Washington ranks 27th in defensive passing DVOA and 32nd in PFF’s pass coverage grade.

Tagovailoa has had plenty of issues this season, but this is lining up as a great matchup for him. Consider him a viable streaming candidate for this weekend.

Jordan Love - QB, Green Bay Packers at New York Giants

Love did not play well Monday Night against the Philadelphia Eagles and was roundly criticized for his poor performance. However, this could be a spot where Love bounces back.

The Giants have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks and the 10th-most passing yards per game. With many of Green Bay’s top pass-catchers banged up, there won’t be many great chances left to start Love this year. This week looks like one of them.

Consider Love a QB2 play in Superflex leagues and a streaming candidate in single quarterback formats.

QB Sits - Week 11 Fantasy Football

Trevor Lawrence - QB, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Los Angeles Chargers

We listed Lawrence as a sit in this column last week against the Houston Texans, and he only finished as the overall QB21. Now Lawrence takes on a Chargers defense that's allowed the third-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.

Even if wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. suits up, this is looking like a tough matchup for Lawrence. That means it's better if gamers leave him on the bench.

Bryce Young - QB, Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons

Young only has two top-12 finishes so far this season. His third appears unlikely to come this weekend as the Falcons have allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and rank second in defensive passing DVOA.

We are also likely to see Carolina try to replicate the Indianapolis Colts' game plan from last week, when the team ran for 323 rushing yards against Atlanta’s defense. There’s little upside to starting Young this week, and he should be left on the bench in all formats.

Jameis Winston - QB, New York Giants vs. Green Bay Packers

Fantasy gamers rejoiced when it was announced that Winston would be the Giants’ starting quarterback in Week 11.

Winston has long been a fantasy football fan favorite, but managers should pump the brakes on throwing him into lineups this week. The Packers defense has played very well this year and ranks second in PFF’s pass coverage grade. Green Bay has also allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.

Winston’s presence is certainly good news for New York’s skill players as opposed to Russell Wilson. Still, Winston is also known for throwing multiple interceptions and flaming out spectacularly in his starts. When you take that into consideration, it probably means starting Winston against one of the best defenses in the league isn’t the smartest of lineup decisions.

RB Starts - Week 11 Fantasy Football

Woody Marks - RB, Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans

Marks had the best game of his career when he faced the Titans back in Week 4. He accumulated 119 scrimmage yards and scored two touchdowns to finish the week as PPR RB6.

Tennessee’s defense remains one of the worst in the league, and it hasn’t gotten better in the weeks since former head coach Brian Callahan was let go. The Titans allow over 141 rushing yards per game and rank 28th in defensive rushing DVOA. The Texans are also listed as 6-point favorites here, so they could very play be playing from ahead for the majority of this game.

This all makes Marks a solid RB2 play with the potential to post an RB1 finish. Gamers should treat him as such.

Rico Dowdle - RB, Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons

Dowdle has been incredible this season and is currently third in the NFL in rushing yards. He’s cracked 100 rushing yards three times this season, and will have another chance to do so on Sunday.

Atlanta currently ranks 27th in defensive rushing DVOA and was absolutely scorched on the ground by Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts last week. Odds are good the Panthers will try and exploit this weakness, and that means gamers should leave Dowdle in their starting lineups for Week 11.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. - RB, Washington Commanders at Miami Dolphins

It looks like Rodriguez will suit up this weekend after leaving Washington’s Week 10 game with a shoulder injury. It’s a good thing he is, as Rodriguez has a great matchup this week, and the team is reportedly set to give him a larger role on offense.

The Dolphins allow 139.7 rushing yards per game, which is the seventh-most in the NFL. Miami has also allowed the eighth-most PPR points per game to opposing backs.

This is also a classic letdown spot for Miami after scoring a massive upset win over the Buffalo Bills last weekend. If the Dolphins come out flat and Washington is playing with a lead, we could see a monster performance from Rodriguez. Start him in all formats.

RB Sits - Week 11 Fantasy Football

Kenneth Walker III - RB, Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams

Despite averaging more yards per carry, scoring higher in a variety of advanced metrics, and looking like the more explosive back, Walker remains stuck in a committee with Zach Charbonnet. After the two backs split carries down the middle in Week 10, this is a situation that doesn’t appear likely to change any time soon.

Throw in a matchup against a Los Angeles Rams defense that ranks second in PFF’s rushing defense grade and allows the second-fewest PPR points per game to opposing backs, and Walker becomes a clear sit this weekend.

Kareem Hunt - RB, Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos

Even though it looks like Isiah Pacheco will not play in this game, this projects as a spot where Hunt could struggle. Denver ranks third in defensive rushing DVOA and allows the fifth-fewest PPR points per game to opposing backs.

The Broncos' pass defense has been very stout this year, but the team will be missing star cornerback Patrick Surtain II, and his absence could mean Kansas City attacks the Broncos' defense through its trio of talented pass catchers in Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and Travis Kelce.

Consider Hunt a touchdown-dependent RB2, who could disappoint managers in a big way if he fails to find the end zone.

Kyle Monangai - RB, Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings

Monangai found the end zone in Week 10, but he took a clear back seat to D’Andre Swift and was out-touched by the veteran by an 18-7 count. Minnesota has been a middling team in terms of allowing production to opposing backs, but last weekend’s usage suggests this backfield still belongs to Swift.

That makes it hard to trust Monangai unless the Bears are heavy favorites or if Swift is out of action. Gamers should leave the rookie out of their lineups for this week.

WR Starts - Week 11 Fantasy Football

Tee Higgins - WR, Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers

Higgins posted a 6-96-1 line on 10 targets against the Steelers back in Week 7. Pittsburgh’s secondary is still in bad shape, and the Bengals' WR2 could be in line for a similar performance. The Steelers have also allowed the most PPR points per game to opposing wide receivers this year.

Higgins has been a bit more of a boom/bust option since Joe Flacco took over as the Bengals' starting quarterback, but this is a good spot to trust him in lineups.

Quentin Johnston - WR, Los Angeles Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars

Johnston has cooled off quite a bit since his fast start and only has one top 24 finish in PPR leagues since Week 4. However, this could be a good spot to play him as the Jaguars' defense allows the fifth-most passing yards per game and the 10th-most PPR points per game to opposing wide receivers.

Gamers should start Johhnston as a boom/bust WR3 or flex play.

Jordan Addison - WR, Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears

Addison let fantasy managers down last week, but he could be set for a bounce-back performance here. The Bears have allowed the sixth-most PPR points per game and second-most touchdown receptions to wide receivers this season.

Quarterback J.J. McCarthy remains a huge wildcard, but this could be a spot where he performs well as a passer. Addison, as well as Justin Jefferson, would be a major beneficiary. Start Addison as a WR3 or flex play with upside for more.

WR Sits - Week 11 Fantasy Football

Darnell Mooney - WR, Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers

Mooney’s second season in Atlanta just hasn’t been very good. He hasn’t finished as a top 24 receiver in PPR leagues this year, and his season high in receiving yards was a 68-yard effort against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7.

He now faces a Panthers defense that’s been very good at limiting wide receiver production. Carolina ranks second in DVOA against opposing WR2s and has allowed the fourth-fewest PPR points per game to opposing wide receivers.

There are better streaming options available on waivers, and gamers should leave Mooney out of lineups this weekend.

Troy Franklin - WR, Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Franklin is making a case to be the Broncos' WR1 as he has seen at least eight targets in four straight games. However, this could be a spot where he struggles as the Chiefs rank first in PFF’s pass coverage grade.

We will likely see Kansas City sell out to stop the Broncos' ground game and force Bo Nix to beat them with his arm. That could be problematic, as Nix has played a frustratingly inconsistent brand of football this year and has made several bone-headed decisions in nearly every game this season.

Franklin also draws a mediocre matchup in RotoBaller’s Week 11 WR/CB matchup chart, so gamers should give serious consideration to leaving him on the bench.

Parker Washington - WR, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Washington posted a 3-33-1 line on 7 targets last week to finish as the PPR WR15. That touchdown grab saved his fantasy day, and without it, Washington would have been a massive letdown.

Now he faces a Chargers defense that allows the fewest PPR points per game to opposing wide receivers. Throw in the fact that WR1 Brian Thomas Jr. is expected to return to Jacksonville’s lineup, and that trade deadline acquisition Jakobi Meyers will be further incorporated into the offense, and it’s easy to see a scenario where Washington disappoints.

Consider other options for a WR3 or flex play.

TE Starts - Week 11 Fantasy Football

Zach Ertz - TE, Washington Commanders at Miami Dolphins

Ertz is currently the PPR TE10 on the year, and draws a date against a Dolphins defense that’s struggled to guard opposing tight ends. Miami ranks 25th in DVOA against the position and has allowed the third-most PPR points per game to opposing tight ends this year.

Gamers who need a bye-week replacement or have been streaming tight ends should consider Ertz a backend TE1 for this week.

Cade Otton - TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Buffalo Bills

Otton is coming off a strong 9-82-0 effort on 12 targets against the New England Patriots last week. With Tampa Bay missing several of its top wide receivers, it looks like Otton has emerged as the team’s de facto WR2 behind Emeka Egbuka.

This is a tough matchup for Otton, but his role in the offense seems secure, and he should continue seeing plenty of volume as long as Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Jalen McMillan remain sidelined.

Harold Fannin Jr. - TE, Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore has been vulnerable against opposing tight ends this year, and the team ranks 27th in DVOA against the position. With Cleveland being listed as an 8.5-point underdog here, this projects as a spot where they could be playing from behind for the majority of this game.

Consider Fannin a viable streaming option for Week 11 as he is live to find the end zone and accrue garbage time points toward the end of this game.

TE Sits - Week 11 Fantasy Football

Dawson Knox - TE, Buffalo Bills vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

With Dalton Kincaid forced out of action due to a hamstring injury, Knox takes over as the team’s TE1. This is not a great time for fantasy managers to throw him into lineups, though, as Tampa Bay ranks eighth in DVOA against the position and allows 42.9 receiving yards per game to opposing tight ends.

Knox is more of a touchdown or bust TE2 option this week, and gamers should look elsewhere for a streamer.

Isaiah Likely - TE, Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns

Despite Cleveland’s 2-7 record, the team continues to boast one of the best defenses in the NFL. Cleveland has also been very good at limiting tight end production and ranks fourth in DVOA against the position. The Browns have also allowed the ninth-fewest PPR points per game to opposing tight ends.

Even though Baltimore will be missing wide receiver Rashod Bateman, Likely is behind Zay Flowers and fellow tight end Mark Andrews in the pecking order for targets. Outside of a random splash play, Likely could have trouble producing in this matchup.

That relegates him to more of a TE2 option, and he should not be considered a viable streamer in most leagues.
