Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh made history in Tuesday's matchup against the Kansas City Royals by hitting his 55th and 56th home runs of the season, passing Mickey Mantle for the most home runs by a switch-hitter in a single year. Mantle's mark stood for more than six decades before Raleigh surpassed it with his latest power display. The 28-year-old slugger leads the majors in home runs and is firmly in the American League MVP conversation. Raleigh is slashing .248/.362/.592 with a .954 OPS in his fifth major league season and continues to launch baseballs with authority, providing the Mariners with a consistent source of power during their late-season push.--Julian Brooke
