Rejoice! The NFL regular season is finally upon us. Soon, all the offseason hype and information will mean nothing once NFL players suit up and go show us what they are made of. One of the beauties of the NFL is the parity we get to experience each season. As such, we will see a great deal of rising and falling based on offseason moves, player progression, and general luck.

The stalwarts in our league, such as the Chiefs, Ravens, Eagles, and Bills, will remain near the top. However, as we enter the regular season, there are several intriguing teams, such as the Panthers, Falcons, and Jaguars, who could make quick jumps with ascending young quarterbacks. Of course, we will not know how well these teams fare until the first whistle blows.

With the NFL season finally here, it is time we jumped back into the power rankings. Who is best positioned as we head into the regular season? Who has a lot of work to do? No matter who you are a fan of, it is always fun to see where each team stands. Let's dive in and find out.

No. 32: New Orleans Saints

The Saints have a tough road ahead of them. They have officially named Spencer Rattler as their starting quarterback, but they have holes all over their roster. First-time head coach Kellen Moore will do what he can, but this is a team trending towards a high pick in a draft class rich with quarterback talent.

No. 31: Cleveland Browns

The Browns are an interesting team this season. They should have a solid defense, and quarterback Joe Flacco will likely make the offense functional. Additionally, the team has solid coaches across the board. However, they play in one of the best divisions in football, and they are devoid of high-end talent. Their outlook on the season is currently cloudy.

No. 30: New York Jets

The vibes in New York are bad right now. The defense should be solid, but the offense has struggled to get it together. Quarterback Justin Fields is on his last chance to prove that he is a starter in this league. The Jets need him to level up to continue ascending beyond the Aaron Rodgers era.

No. 29: Tennessee Titans

The Titans could surprise this season in a winnable division. No. 1 pick Cam Ward looked like the real deal during the preseason. The Titans actually have solid weapons and a good offensive scheme. They could make noise in 2025.

No. 28: Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders have a roster that is primed for a rebuild, but they employ a nearly 74-year-old head coach in Pete Carroll. The team's offseason moves suggest they are trying to do some winning during Carroll's likely short tenure with the team. However, they play in a great division and still lack a lot of talent. Still, Carroll is a quality coach. He could drag this team to eight or nine wins this season.

No. 27: New York Giants

The Giants suddenly have one of the best-looking defenses in the league. They are stacked up front with Kayvon Thibodeaux, Dexter Lawrence II, Brian Burns, and Abdul Carter. The team should smother opposing offenses all season long. The offense will be improved as well with a definite upgrade at quarterback, no matter who plays. The Giants have a brutal schedule, but they should be able to compete throughout different games.

No. 26: Indianapolis Colts

The Colts have decided to roll with Daniel Jones as their starting quarterback this season. Jones provides a higher floor than former starter Anthony Richardson Sr. With a solid roster around him, let's see what Jones can do for the shoe.

No. 25: Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are entering yet another regime change with Liam Coen taking over as the head coach. Coen worked wonders for Baker Mayfield in Tampa Bay last season. Early returns on Coen in Jacksonville suggest that he is doing a solid job with Trevor Lawrence as well. This could be the year Lawrence is finally unleashed.

No. 24: New England Patriots

With Mike Vrabel taking over as the Patriots' head coach, the team is ready to take a large step forward. Everything is contingent upon the ability of Drake Maye to produce at a high level. Maye flashed great potential in 2024, and we could see that potential unleashed in offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels' system.

No. 23: Chicago Bears

The Bears have invested heavily in their offensive personnel and hired Ben Johnson as their head coach. Johnson comes with high expectations. Quarterback Caleb Williams has been inconsistent throughout training camp and the preseason. The Bears will only go as far as the partnership between Johnson and Williams will take them.

No. 22: Carolina Panthers

The Panthers started to look like a real NFL team down the stretch of the 2024 season. Quarterback Bryce Young seemed to figure out how to play in this league. As long as Young continues to ascend, the Panthers have a real chance at winning the NFC South in 2025.

No. 21: Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons are an intriguing young team this year. The defense should be much improved, and the offense has weapons everywhere. Everything is contingent upon the play of quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Penix has a chance to take a massive step forward and propel this team into contention in 2025.

No. 20: Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals are in a position to take a step forward in 2025. Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is entering Year 2, and tight end Trey McBride has arrived in a big way. The defense is also nothing to sneeze at anymore. If quarterback Kyler Murray can deliver on his talent, the Cardinals will be solid in 2025.

No. 19: Dallas Cowboys

Circumstances in Dallas are not looking good right now. Top edge rusher Micah Parsons is now a Packer, and the team is lacking a lot of pieces on both sides of the ball. The passing offense should be great, but you need a lot more than a great passing game to win games in this league, just ask the 2024 Bengals.

No. 18: Miami Dolphins

Miami is already dealing with the injury bug on offense. Running back De'Von Achane is dealing with a calf injury, which is sketchy for a player with his explosiveness. The team is also dealing with a depleted defense. We could see head coach Mike McDaniel on the hot seat after this season.

No. 17: Houston Texans

The Texans' 2025 season has a wide range of outcomes. The team could realistically win the AFC South again and win yet another playoff game. However, the offensive line uncertainty and injuries at running back are concerning. The defense will be great, but will quarterback C.J. Stroud have the help he needs to turn this offense into a high-powered unit once again?

No. 16: Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are going to live and die by Aaron Rodgers this season. Rodgers is coming off three consecutive down years, but the Steelers feel as though he is the missing piece to propel them back into contention. To be fair, Pittsburgh has a championship-caliber defense. If Rodgers can even play average football, the Steelers will be a team to watch out for this season.

No. 15: San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers do not seem to have anyone healthy enough to play wide receiver other than Ricky Pearsall right now. With Kyle Shanahan calling plays, you can never count out this offense. However, the 49ers are an aging team with a lot of question marks. Vegas sports books are on their side, but the team is walking a delicate line.

No. 14: Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks were a series of tiebreakers away from winning the NFC West in 2024. Even so, most NFL pundits seem to have them finishing last in the division this season. This team is going to have a suffocating defense. If Sam Darnold can play half as well as he did in Minnesota last season, the offense will also be just fine.

No. 13: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers will enter the season without stud wide receiver Chris Godwin or standout 2024 rookie wideout Jalen McMillan. Never fear, for Emeka Egbuka is here. This team should continue to enjoy offensive success with a confident Mayfield playing behind one of the best offensive lines in football.

No. 12: Denver Broncos

The Broncos have a chance to do big things in 2025 with Sean Payton entering Year 3 as the head coach. Bo Nix is poised for a large leap at quarterback, and the Broncos' defense is next-level. The Chiefs stand between Denver and a division title, but it is feasible within the realm of possibilities.

No. 11: Los Angeles Chargers

Jim Harbaugh should never be counted out as a head coach. Now with a stud quarterback at his disposal, the Chargers should make a leap forward in 2025. Harbaugh has reshaped this roster in his image. Watch out for the Chargers if you are a Chiefs fan.

No. 10: Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals finally got Trey Hendrickson back in the building after a months-long standoff over his contract. Hendrickson received a raise for the 2025 season to put him more in line with the other stud edge rushers in the league. The Bengals desperately need Hendrickson to dominate because their defense has looked terrible throughout the preseason.

No. 9: Los Angeles Rams

There has been a lot of concern in Los Angeles surrounding the health of Matthew Stafford. However, the Rams have remained steadfast in their thought that Stafford will be fine. Stafford has been practicing in full and looks to be just about ready to go. This roster is loaded. The Rams could make a deep run with a healthy Stafford.

No. 8: Green Bay Packers

The Packers are ready to take a large step forward with a healthy Jordan Love this season. This was an 11-win team that finished third, yes, third, in their division in 2024. The NFC North is tough, but the Packers have proven an ability to hang with the best teams in the league. This could finally be their year.

No. 7: Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings are positioned as well as anyone to make a run this season. Young quarterback J.J. McCarthy is set up very well to succeed in this offense. The defense will be aggressive, and the offense has weapons everywhere. With a play caller like Kevin O'Connell, the sky is the limit.

No. 6: Washington Commanders

The Commanders are climbing back up the power rankings after re-signing stud wide receiver Terry McLaurin. Without McLaurin, the outlook of the Commanders was murky this season. With McLaurin, this team is a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

No. 5: Detroit Lions

The reigning NFC North champion Lions will look to run everything back despite losing both coordinators this offseason. The team has also taken hits to its offensive line. The Lions may not ultimately dominate the way they have the last couple of seasons, but they should be just fine with a loaded roster.

No. 4: Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens feel that their time is now, and they might be right. They have retained just about everyone from the 2024 season. They have had issues getting over the hump into the big game, but they continue to position themselves in such a way that gives them a great chance. As long as Lamar Jackson is healthy, this team can make serious noise.

No. 3: Buffalo Bills

With reigning-MVP Josh Allen at the helm, the Bills can beat anyone in the league. However, there is only one team they seem to need to worry about. The Kansas City Chiefs have eliminated the Bills in five of the last six postseasons. If they can finally slay the beast, the Bills could be a Super Bowl favorite.

No. 2: Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs will remain near the top of this list until they give us a reason to bump them down. Sure, this team has been relatively boring to watch over the last couple of seasons, but they win. Frankly, the Chiefs do not care whether they produce fantasy points or make highlight-worthy plays. They only care about hardware.

No. 1: Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles' roster is beyond loaded. This team has an unbelievable knack for drafting and developing great talent. With so many cost-controlled players, the Eagles will be able to win at a high level for years to come. The rest of the NFL should be afraid of the birds in 2025.
