Kyle Wright Makes Fifth Rehab Start
Kyle Wright (shoulder) made his fifth minor-league rehab start on Sunday with Triple-A Omaha and allowed just two hits in four scoreless innings with a walk and six strikeouts, per MLB.com. Wright threw 41 of his 65 total pitches for strikes as he works his way back from right-shoulder surgery that has kept him out for all of 2025 to this point. The 29-year-old is expected to make just one more rehab start before his 30-day window closes on June 24. The former first-round pick by the Atlanta Braves in 2017 out of Vanderbilt won a league-high 21 games with the Braves in 2022 but has appeared in just nine games since then due to injuries and didn't appear at all in 2024. That was the only season he's really been effective in the big leagues, so fantasy managers will be waiting to see more in mixed leagues when Wright returns.
