Rafael Devers has Monster Game in Blowout Win Over O's
Rafael Devers was locked in at the plate in Game 1 of a scheduled doubleheader on Friday at Fenway Park against the division-rival Baltimore Orioles in a 19-5 blowout victory. Devers went 4-for-6 in the contest with two home runs, three runs scored and eight RBI. The 28-year-old's eight RBI in the ball game was a career-high. His first homer was a three-run shot in the sixth inning off reliever Gregory Soto before clubbing a grand slam off position player Emmanuel Rivera in the eighth frame in an inning where Boston put up a whopping 13 runs. Devers has taken well to a full-time DH role so far in 2025 and now leads all of baseball with 47 RBI after driving in eight on Friday. He is now slashing .299/.415/.557 with 12 home runs and 34 runs scored in 52 games for the BoSox. The second game of Friday's doubleheader was rained out, so Devers wasn't able to add to his already massive day.
