Rookie guard/forward Dalton Knecht will finish the season with the Charlotte Hornets, who acquired him in a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers. Veteran forward Cam Reddish also moves to Charlotte as part of the deal, while center Mark Williams heads to L.A. Knecht was the 17th pick of the 2024 NBA Draft by the Lakers and has shown glimpses of outstanding potential. However, with the Lakers in win-now mode and lacking frontcourt quality following the departure of Anthony Davis, Knecht has moved on. The 23-year-old has averaged 9.4 points and 3.1 rebounds for his rookie campaign. He could have a big finish to the season in Charlotte, with Brandon Miller (wrist) out for the rest of the year and LaMelo Ball (ankle) also on the shelf.--Taavi Pailk
