FanDuel NBA DFS Picks for Today (Wednesday 2/5/25): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Devin Booker - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball, Value Plays

Dan's favorite FanDuel NBA DFS picks for today, Wednesday - 2/5/25. His top daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for FanDuel DFS contests.

It's a massive 11-game slate tonight on FanDuel, and it can be very challenging to pare down the options for our lineups. Navigating through all the injuries and recently traded players isn't easy either, which is why I am here to help you get your process started!

I always make it a point to recommend some higher-priced players for cash games and GPPs while highlighting some of my favorite value plays and game stacks. If you want DraftKings picks, see who Zach Thompson likes by reading his piece here.

This article will provide my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/5/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 EST on FanDuel.

FanDuel NBA DFS Core Picks

Naz Reid, MIN - PF/C ($7K)

I want you to spend 7k on Naz Reid! Yes, he's been priced around 5k all season in his reserve role, but Naz should start at the four again tonight and is in a prime spot to go off again, as he did last night against the Kings when he dropped 30 actual points and 46.5 FD points.

The Bulls allow the fifth-most FD points to opposing power forwards, and Reid should get as many minutes and shots as he can handle with Julius Randle out of the lineup. Ignore the sticker shock and trust the process - Reid is worth every penny in his projected role and this matchup.

Rudy Gobert, MIN - C ($6.9K)

We are doubling up on Minnesota bigs in the core tonight. Gobert is around the same price and was also dominant last night against the Kings, posting 48 FD points of his own. The Bulls are bad against traditional centers, too, allowing the fifth-most FD points to big men this season.

It remains to be seen if Gobert and Reid both play 40 minutes each tonight, but it's certainly possible if the Bulls keep this game close, as the Wolves are very shorthanded. I'm locking in some high floors and hopefully at least one ceiling by playing these two together tonight.

Tyrese Maxey, PHI - PG ($10K)

Did someone say high floors? Tyrese Maxey has been the king of the high floor this season, especially in games that Joel Embiid misses.

Maxey played 40 minutes last night and led the Sixers to a tough win over the Mavericks, pouring in 33 points and adding 13 assists in Embiid's return to the lineup. Ironically, Maxey's 63 FD points were his most in over a month and came with Embiid on the floor.

Tonight, Embiid is resting, and Paul George is still questionable. The one constant for Philly is Maxey and his offense. Even in a tougher matchup against Miami, Maxey should be good for 50 FD points and is an easy cash game play for me.

Others Under Consideration: Anthony Edwards - SG/SF ($9.4K), Nikola Jokic - C ($13K)

FanDuel NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM - PF/C ($8.7K)

Jackson has been flashing his ceiling more often than not lately, with 40+ FD points in four of his last six. Tonight he will face a Toronto team that just got hammered by Karl-Anthony Towns last night and has been giving up big performances to big men all season.

Devin Booker, PHX – SG/SF ($9.1K)

Kevin Durant is not likely to play tonight and is rumored to be heading out of town in a trade before tomorrow afternoon. So Booker should take over tonight as the alpha dog on offense against OKC.

While it's not a good matchup on paper, the Thunder are without several key players and could be missing Jalen Williams, so Phoenix has a chance of hanging around in this one if Booker and Beal can carry this offense. Booker certainly has the offensive skill set to do it, and I think he will be overlooked by many as this game is later in the evening.

Trey Murphy III, NOP - SG/SF ($8.2K)

Oops, he did it again. The young gunner was in fantastic form again on Monday night when he dropped 41 actual points on the Nuggets. That's now 32, 40, and 41 actual points in his last three games.

Why not run it back with Murphy tonight in the same matchup? He's still going to be getting up a ton of shots and is feeling it. I'm happy to keep riding the hot hand here, especially with Denver being a much worse defensive team this season than in years prior.

Others Under Consideration: Victor Wembanyama- PF/C ($11.9K), Donovan Mitchell - PG/SG ($8.7K)

FanDuel NBA DFS Value Picks

Isaiah Collier, UTA – PG ($5.2K)

No Collin Sexton tonight, so we should see more minutes for Collier, Keyonte George, and Jordan Clarkson. I trust Collier the most, and he also happens to be the cheapest of the bunch.

Luke Kennard, MEM - PG/SG ($4.9K)

Desmond Bane is out for the Grizzlies, so I expect Kennard to draw another start. He has been streaky, but when his shot is falling, he can post a big number.

Zaccharie Risacher, ATL - SF ($4.9K)

The No. 1 pick in this year's draft is finally showing some promise as he's been thrust back into a bigger role with Jalen Johnson done for the season. He has four solid games in a row with 26 or more FD points.

Christian Braun, DEN – SG/SF ($5.6K)

Braun has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of Russell Westbrook's missing time, as he's had a few ceiling games with 46 and 47 FD points in the last week. The matchup is good here, as the Pelicans simply don't stop anyone, and Braun is pushing for 40 minutes a night at the moment.

Matas Buzelis, CHI – SF/PF ($4.2K)

The rookie is starting to show signs that he could have been one of the steals of the draft. He busted out for 24 points in 31 minutes off the bench against Miami last night and should continue to see his role grow as the Bulls rebuild.

Others Under Consideration: Larry Nance Jr. - PF/C ($4.2K), Royce O'Neale - SF/PF ($4.6K), Gradey Dick - SG/SF ($4.6K)
