Jordan Addison (MIN) Injury Update

Game Status: OUT

The Minnesota Vikings will be without their No. 2 wide receiver against the San Francisco 49ers. Jordan Addison caught three passes against the New York Giants before injuring his ankle. It's not the same ankle he sprained during training camp, so he's now working with two ankles that aren't 100 percent.

Jalen Nailor will move up the depth chart in Addison's absence. He's a speculative waiver-wire add, as he impressed in training camp, but it's unlikely that Sam Darnold will support two wide receivers.

Keenan Allen / Rome Odunze (CHI) Injury Update

Game Status: Game-time decisions

Keenan Allen (heel) and Rome Odunze (knee) are both game-time decisions for a Sunday night matchup in Houston. Allen did not practice at all, despite teammate DJ Moore downplaying the severity of his injury earlier this week. Odunze practiced in a limited fashion on Friday. He says there's no risk of further injury.

Unless a report comes out on Saturday or early Sunday about the status of the Bears' wideouts, they can't be trusted. The Sunday Night Football matchup limits the replacement options in starting lineups. Play it safe and keep both on the bench.

A.J. Brown (PHI) Injury Update

A.J. Brown picked up a limited designation for Friday's practice with a hamstring injury. The severity of the issue is unknown.

Philadelphia hosts the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football, so the Eagles have an official practice report on Saturday that now bears watching. If he wraps up the week with a questionable tag, fantasy managers will need to find a pivot option who plays earlier or gamble on Brown's health.

Marquise Brown (KC) Injury Update

Game Status: Injured reserve

Marquise "Hollywood" Brown is making his last appearance in this column for quite some time. The Kansas City Chiefs placed Brown on injured reserve on Friday. He will undergo surgery to repair his dislocated SC joint which was not healing correctly.

Rashee Rice cements his status as a low-end WR1, high-end WR2 for fantasy football and Xavier Worthy will continue to see more snaps in his rookie season.

Nico Collins (HOU) Injury Update

Game Status: No injury designation

Nico Collins appeared on the injury report midweek with an illness. After a limited participation in Thursday's practice, he returned with a full designation on Friday. He'll be active on Sunday and should be started in every league.

Josh Downs (IND) Injury Update

Game Status: Game-time decision

Josh Downs is inching closer to his 2024 debut. He's been recovering from a high-ankle sprain suffered in early August, which kept him out of the lineup in Week 1.

He was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but upgraded to a full participant on Friday. Things are trending in the right direction.

Downs is a bench stash as he returns to the lineup. If he's inactive again, count on a few deep shots from Anthony Richardson to the other receivers.

Tee Higgins (CIN) Injury Update

Game Status: Doubtful

A midweek hamstring injury took Tee Higgins out of lineups just before Week 1. Just like last week, Higgins is officially listed as doubtful.

If Higgins is down for another contest, Andrei Iosivas will slide into the starting lineup again. The Cincinnati offense draws a tough matchup against Kansas City at Arrowhead. Ja'Marr Chase may be the only Bengal to trust in Week 2.

Malik Nabers (NYG) Injury Update

Game Status: No injury designation

There was a brief concern about the availability of rookie first-round pick Malik Nabers during the week. He was limited during Thursday's practice with a knee issue. The worry about Nabers quickly subdued. He practiced in full on Friday and head coach Brian Daboll says he's good to go.

Nabers has a fantastic matchup against the shaky Commanders' secondary. He should be started in all leagues. Teammate Darius Slayton has cleared concussion protocol and will also be in the lineup for the Giants on Sunday.

Joshua Palmer (LAC) Injury Update

Game Status: Questionable

Joshua Palmer is trending in the wrong direction for a road tussle against the Carolina Panthers. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but did not practice on Friday.

Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston will see an uptick in opportunities if Palmer can't suit up. With how bad Carolina looked in Week 1, the Chargers may think they can get a win while letting Palmer heal.

Jayden Reed (GB) Injury Update

Game Status: Questionable

Jayden Reed popped up on the Packers' injury report Friday with a shin/calf injury. He is officially listed as questionable but has a history of playing hurt.

Check back on Sunday morning, but it sounds like LaFleur plans on having his most explosive offensive weapon on the field. They'll need it with Malik Willis (likely) starting in place of Jordan Love (questionable despite not practicing all week). Reed is the only Green Bay wide receiver who should be considered for starting lineups because of how the Packers manufacture touches for him.

Devaughn Vele (DEN) Injury Update

Game Status: OUT

Rookie seventh-round pick Devaughn Vele caught eight passes in his NFL debut against Seattle. He will not be adding to that total in Week 2. Vele missed practice all week with a rib injury and has been ruled out.

Fellow wide receiver Josh Reynolds (Achilles) is trending in the right direction. He and Courtland Sutton will be the primary receivers for Bo Nix against a stout Pittsburgh defense. All Broncos can be avoided in Week 2.

Jameson Williams (DET) Injury Update

Game Status: Questionable

The Jameson Williams breakout campaign may be hitting a brief speed bump. The third-year wideout took a shot to his ankle during Week 1, the best game of his young career. He was limited in practice all week.

The team will make the call on his availability closer to kickoff. The Lions remain at home in what could be a shootout with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If Williams is active, he'll be a boom/bust flex option.

Roman Wilson (PIT) Injury Update

Game Status: Questionable

Limited, then full, then limited. Roman Wilson is yo-yo-ing the practice report as he recovers from an ankle sprain. The rookie may be ready to play in his first NFL game on Sunday.

Whether he's active or not, Wilson is a stash in Dynasty formats and doesn't need to be rostered in standard-sized redraft leagues. The Steelers will likely bring him along slowly on their below-average offense.
