Two-Start Pitcher Streamers: Fantasy Baseball SP Pickups and Starts - Week 12 (2024)

Tylor Megill fantasy baseball rankings waiver wire pickups draft sleepers

Starting pitcher two-start streamers for Week 12 (2024). Fantasy baseball SP waiver wire pickups for pitchers with two starts scheduled in the week ahead, June 10 to June 16.

Welcome RotoBallers to our Two-Start Pitcher Streamers article - Waiver Wire Streamers and Starts for Week 12, from June 10 to June 16. With multiple teams having six or seven games on their schedule, we're looking at a nice variety of two-start pitchers.

Each week of this fantasy baseball season, this fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify starting pitchers expected to make two starts in the upcoming week. It can be considered as fantasy baseball streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire run for leagues with weekly transactions.

There are 35 pitchers currently scheduled to make two starts during this period. We will be looking at pitchers who are less than 50% owned in Yahoo leagues. Listed will be those who are rostered over 50%, those who are best available under 50%, and risky options under 50%. There are a few other two-start pitchers available, but they should be avoided.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball draft tools and resources:

Two-Start Pitchers - Over 50% Rostered

Best Available Two-Start Pitcher Streamers

Jameson Taillon (28% Rostered), Chicago Cubs

Scheduled Starts: @ TB, vs. STL

Jameson Taillon has had a fantastic season to date. Through nine starts, he holds a 3.47 ERA, 4.09 FIP, and 1.36 WHIP. Despite a recent clunker against the lowly Chicago White Sox in which he allowed five earned runs across five innings pitched (worth noting: a 3.94 FIP/22.2% hard-hit rate), Taillon should still grab the stream this week.

While his 16.4% strikeout rate would usually disqualify him from streaming consideration, his 36.4% ideal contact rate and 44.5% groundball rate give him a good shot at stifling Tampa Bay and St. Louis -- two offenses that rank in the bottom-eight in runs scored.

Tylor Megill (19% Rostered), New York Mets

Scheduled Starts: vs. MIA, vs. SD

If not for a shoulder strain that took him out for the first two months of the season, Tylor Megill and his American Sporkball would be the talk of the town. He's performed well on the mound, with a 3.00 ERA, 2.90 FIP, 1.24 WHIP, and 27% strikeout rate.

His first start against a Miami offense ranked second-to-last in scoring should be a clean start. While the recent poor play from the juggernaut Atlanta offense has drawn more attention, San Diego's offense has also taken a massive dip recently as they rank 19th in scoring since May 1. There is always a risk when streaming against an offense with San Diego's talent, but the under-rostered Megill is catching them at a great time.

Chris Paddack (14% Rostered), Minnesota Twins

Scheduled Starts: vs. COL, vs. OAK

While a 3.82 xFIP does take the edge off Chris Paddack's 5.26 ERA, it's still hard to trust the 28-year-old. However, this is probably the week you'd be least worried about Paddack.

He'll get a Colorado Rockies offense on Minnesota turf and an Oakland offense that ranks 28th in runs scored this season. You'll take most pitchers against those two offenses; Paddack's 4.9% walk rate, 108 Location+ grade, and 11.9% SwStr rate meet the standard.

Risky Two-Start Streamer Picks

Albert Suarez (23% Rostered), Baltimore Orioles

Scheduled Starts: vs. ATL, vs. PHI

Albert Suarez has been one of the year's biggest surprises. He boasts a 1.83 ERA, 2.71 FIP, 1.02 WHIP, 21% strikeout rate, and 7% walk rate in his first six starts in MLB since 2017. Even with his 3.99 xFIP and 2.2% HR/FB ratio, Suarez is worth streaming in most weeks. Unfortunately, there are very few pitchers you can trust against a Phillies offense that ranks second in scoring this season.

Jose Soriano (12% Rostered), Los Angeles Angels

Scheduled Starts: @ ARZ, @ SF

Jose Soriano is performing well in his first year as a major-league starter, with a 3.64 ERA, 3.84 FIP, 1.21 WHIP, 20.4% strikeout rate, and 9.7% walk rate. The 25-year-old is close, but a start against a red-hot San Francisco offense (fifth in runs scored since May 1) leaves him as a risky streamer.

JP Sears (12% Rostered), Oakland Athletics

Scheduled Starts: @ SD, @ MIN

It's been another frustrating year of mediocrity for JP Sears, with a 3.93 ERA, 4.18 FIP, 1.09 WHIP, 17.7% strikeout rate, and 7% walk rate through 13 starts. He's had plenty of impressive starts this year, but not enough to give Sears blind trust. Tylor Megill still possesses some risk going against San Diego, so Sears won't get the green light this week.

Colin Rea (8% Rostered), Milwaukee Brewers

Scheduled Starts: vs. TOR, vs. CIN

Colin Rea's 3.53 ERA probably looks nice. However, a 15.8% strikeout rate and 5.54 xERA from a pitcher who may still appear as a bulk reliever does not meet streaming criteria -- even if Toronto is up next.

Miles Mikolas (8% Rostered), St. Louis Cardinals

Scheduled Starts: vs. PIT, @ CHC

Miles Mikolas, with his 5.32 ERA and 17.8% strikeout rate, should not be streamed against a strong Chicago Cubs offense.
