ANALYSIS: Adael Amador, Colorado's top-rated prospect and overall No. 32 prospect per MLB.com, is reportedly being promoted to the majors according to Francys Romero. MLB's Thomas Harding has reported that no official decision has been made to activate Amador yet. The club is waiting to see how Brendan Rodgers' hamstring responds to treatment and whether he'll need to hit the injured list. Still, Amador's potential requires fantasy teams to get ahead of the curve if possible.

Amador had a slow start to 2024 at Double-A but turned it around two weeks ago, hitting .309 with six home runs while going a perfect 7-for-7 on steal attempts over his last 13 games. Rookies are volatile but Amador's power-speed ceiling is impossible to ignore. He also has 33 walks to 39 strikeouts over roughly 200 plate appearances at Double-A so far, boasting plus plate discipline at every level thus far.
His outcomes are further increased by Coors Field, where the Rockies will have a 10-game homestand starting June 14. If Amador is given a chance to make a statement and carries the hot bat over, he shouldn't relinquish the MLB role. He's currently available in all but 2% of Yahoo fantasy leagues.
