Two-Start Pitcher Streamers: Fantasy Baseball SP Pickups and Starts - Week 11 (2024)

Andrew Abbott - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Starting pitcher two-start streamers for Week 11 (2024). Fantasy baseball SP waiver wire pickups for pitchers with two starts scheduled in the week ahead, June 3 to June 9.

Welcome RotoBallers to our Two-Start Pitcher Streamers article - Waiver Wire Streamers and Starts for Week 11, from June 3 to June 9. With multiple teams having six or seven games on their schedule, we're looking at a nice variety of two-start pitchers.

Each week of this fantasy baseball season, this fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify starting pitchers expected to make two starts in the upcoming week. It can be considered as fantasy baseball streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire run for leagues with weekly transactions.

There are 30 pitchers currently scheduled to make two starts during this period. We will be looking at pitchers who are less than 50% owned in Yahoo leagues. Listed will be those who are rostered over 50%, those who are best available under 50%, and risky options under 50%. There are a few other two-start pitchers available, but they should be avoided.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball draft tools and resources:

Two-Start Pitchers - Over 50% Rostered

Best Available Two-Start Pitcher Streamers

Trevor Williams (44% Rostered), Washington Nationals

Scheduled Starts: vs. NYM, vs. ATL

Seemingly against all odds, Trevor Williams is still among the best pitchers in the league. He has remained unbeaten through 11 starts, with a 2.22 ERA, 2.77 FIP, 1.08 FIP, 21% strikeout rate, 7.1% walk rate, and five wins in 56 ⅔ innings.

While you may still shudder when you hear a pitcher may be facing off against the Atlanta Braves offense, they ranked just 27th in runs scored in May. Williams also held his own against Atlanta just this past week, picking up the win with 5 ⅔ innings of one-run ball in Truist Park on May 30. And with his other start against a Mets offense ranked 20th in scoring this season, you should feel somewhat confident streaming Trevor Williams this week.

Joey Estes (1% Rostered), Oakland Athletics

Scheduled Starts: vs. SEA, vs. TOR

While it may seem like we’re entering dire straits by only being able to trust Trevor Williams and a pitcher named Joey Estes this week, Estes has a fantastic shot this week.

With a 6.10 ERA through four starts, the rookie pitcher doesn’t look of streaming quality. However, most of that damage comes from a start against a high-powered Astros offense; on May 23, he allowed eight runs across 3 ⅔ innings. Despite the clunker against Houston, Estes has performed relatively well outside the ERA category with a 3.47 FIP, 23% strikeout rate, 6.9% walk rate, and 12.7% SwStr%.

While he will struggle against top teams, this week’s matchups are against a Mariners offense ranked 28th in scoring and a Blue Jays offense ranked 25th in scoring this season. You wouldn’t want to give him the full seal of approval long-term, but he should provide adequate pitching this week.

Risky Two-Start Streamer Picks

Tyler Anderson (46% Rostered), Los Angeles Angels

Scheduled Starts: vs. SD, vs. HOU

Despite largely mediocre peripherals, Tyler Anderson is still performing well, with five wins, 2.47 ERA, and 1.13 WHIP through 69 ⅓ innings.

There are obvious signs of weakness, primarily his 17.1% strikeout rate, 10.4% walk rate, and 4.54 FIP. His luck may expire soon with two top-10 scoring offenses in San Diego and Houston on the slate.

Andrew Abbott (45% Rostered), Cincinnati Reds

Scheduled Starts: @ COL, vs. CHC

Similar to Tyler Anderson, Andrew Abbott has defied his poor peripherals (his 8.9% SwStr% and 25.5% CSW% are among the worst in the league) with a 3.29 ERA and 1.13 WHIP through 11 starts.

His 18% strikeout rate and 4.79 FIP point to collapse. With starts against the Rockies in Coors Field and a strong Chicago Cubs offense, it’s wise to avoid Abbott this week.

Kyle Gibson (24% Rostered), St. Louis Cardinals

Scheduled Starts: @ HOU, vs. COL

Like Anderson and Abbott, Gibson has maintained a decent 3.60 ERA and 1.22 WHIP, despite a 5.15 xERA, 4.37 FIP, 19.4% strikeout rate, 9.3% walk rate, and 10.7% SwStr% through 11 starts.

While Gibson won’t have to make his way over to Coors in his start against the Rockies, his start against a top-10 scoring Houston Astros offense is enough to avoid the 36-year-old this week.

Frankie Montas (14% Rostered), Cincinnati Reds

Scheduled Starts: @ COL, vs. CHC

Frankie Montas has had a rough go of it this season, with a 4.60 ERA, 5.06 FIP, 1.40 WHIP, 15.9% strikeout rate, and 8.7% walk rate through 10 starts. Don’t expect a good week with a road start in Coors and a start against a top-10 Astros offense.

Matt Waldron (13% Rostered), San Diego Padres

Scheduled Starts: @ LAA, vs. ARZ

A knuckleballer sure sounds like a lot of fun in a week that is light with options, but don't fall for Matt Waldron. With such a flighty pitch, you shouldn't trust him against a top-10 offense like the Arizona Diamondbacks.
