CBB DFS: Afternoon DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (1/20/24)

Hunter Dickinson - Kevin McCullar Jr. - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's Afternoon DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 1/20/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

Saturdays are for college hoops! It makes the three college football slates that we lived on all season seem like cupcakes compared to what roundball brings. We have 34 games on three slates to occupy our Saturday. A dozen more of them make up the afternoon slate, even though it starts just two hours after the main slate. This slate runs for three hours though!

The Big 12 gets us going with Central Florida in Houston and Iowa State in Fort Worth. Kansas follows from Morgantown a bit later. The Pac-12 gets us going with USC in Tempe and closes us out with UCLA in Tucson and Washington State in Berkeley. The Big Ten's only offering is a good one with Northwestern in Lincoln to play Nebraska. The ACC sends the Heels up Chestnut Hill and Clemson to Tallahassee. The SEC gives us Vandy at the Hump and A&M at LSU. The Big East gives us DePaul in Indy to take on Butler.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/20/24, starting at 2 p.m. Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower levels of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Wade Taylor IV, Texas A&M ($9,000)

This was not the season that the Aggies envisioned...at least not so far. The season is only about half over though. A win like this over a ranked team can do a lot for a team. So can Wade Taylor IV. He has 72 points in the last two games alone! Forget what the peripherals are. That's just points alone! Taylor has 109 DraftKings points in those two games. Only Zach Edey has two games like that in a row this season and he costs almost $2,000 more.

Myles Rice, Washington State ($7,300)

After a bit of a rough start, the Cougars have rattled off wins against Arizona, USC, and Stanford. Two of those were on the road. The constant has been Rice, who has 65 points, 10 rebounds, 18 assists, eight steals, and a block in those three games. He had a career-high 35 points (with a staggering 61 DraftKings points) against Stanford on Thursday. What will the encore look like? For this price, I'm finding out!

Johnny Furphy, Kansas ($5,400)

Furphy cracked the starting lineup for the third time this season and put up 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in 32 minutes against Oklahoma State. Kansas is loaded across the board, but the fact that the freshman can still put up numbers with that team around him says more about Furphy than the stars around him. This didn't come at the expense of other players. This is another plus matchup for the Jayhawks. Expect Furphy to notch big minutes again.

Bronny James, USC ($5,000)

Bronny got another start with Boogie Ellis out and finally had that performance we have all been waiting for. He put up 11 points, five rebounds, six assists, and a block on Arizona. He's still inconsistent and his role could be diminished if Boogie plays today. If not, I could see the younger James building on his breakout against the other Arizona team.

Also consider: Jordan Wright, LSU ($8,700); Kevin McCullar Jr., Kansas ($8,400); Boo Buie, Northwestern ($8,000); Tyrece Radford, Texas A&M ($7,000); Dajuan Harris Jr., Kansas ($6,700); Jamiya Neal, Arizona State ($6,400); Jalen Terry, DePaul ($5,500); Elliot Cadeau, North Carolina ($4,700); C.J. Wilcher, Nebraska ($4,400)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

PJ Hall, Clemson ($9,500)

Wow, DraftKings acted fast this time. Hall's 67.25 DraftKings point performance against Georgia Tech this week resulted in a swift $1,200 price increase. After a slow start to the 2024 calendar year, Hall ravaged the ACC with 114 DraftKings points over the last two games. Florida State doesn't have the guys to stop him if Hall continues to destroy teams in the middle.

Tolu Smith, Mississippi State ($8,100)

This was a vintage performance by Smith against Kentucky, even though the Bulldogs lost. Smith scored 26 points with eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal. It was his second game over 20 points in the last three tries and his third straight game over 28 minutes. Any restrictions on Smith's minutes appear to be gone now. Expect more games like this in the future.

Jason Rivera-Torres, Vanderbilt ($5,900)

Rivera-Torres has scored in double figures in four straight games while flashing excellent defense and good rebounding chops. The freshman has 56 points, 18 rebounds, two steals, two blocks, and nine steals in four January games. That's a solid return for the price on a slate where the mid-range options are slim.

Patrick Suemnick, West Virginia ($4,800)

This is a tough matchup for West Virginia, but Suemnick has started the last five games in place of Jesse Edwards and still isn't priced like a starter. Suemnick has more than 18 DraftKings points in four of those five games. He doesn't have a lot of upside, but we really don't need it at this price. We're getting a minimum of 4x value.

Also consider: Hunter Dickinson, Kansas ($9,600); Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($8,600); Fardaws Aimaq, California ($8,000); Oumar Ballo, Arizona ($7,400); Andersson Garcia, Texas A&M ($6,900); Baba Miller, Florida State ($6,400); Joshua Morgan, USC ($5,000); Cam Corhen, Florida State ($4,400)
