DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ranger Suarez, SP - PHI ($9.3K DK/$10K FD)

After allowing at least five runs in back-to-back outings, Suarez enjoyed a much-needed bounce-back outing on August 18 when he struck out 10 en route to picking up the victory over the Seattle Mariners.

This afternoon, he will be a popular play, facing the Nationals, who have posted the fifth-highest K% since July 15.

Kevin Gausman, SP - TOR ($8.9K DK/$9.1K FD)

Over his last three outings, Gausman has seen his strikeout production drop, but he has still remained very effective. Throughout this three-game stretch, the right-hander has tossed 19 innings to the tune of a 2.37 ERA and a stellar 0.84 WHIP.

Gausman is a solid option facing a Miami team that ranks 16th in terms of wRC+ and ISO since July 15.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Note - All advanced hitter metrics referenced are from July 15 and on

Francisco Lindor, SS - NYM ($5.7K DK/$3.6K FD)

Lindor entered Saturday's contest riding a 10-game hit streak and is in a prime position to stay hot this afternoon, facing Atlanta right-hander Bryce Elder. Elder has leaned on his sinker since the start of the month (41.2% usage), which should put Lindor in a great spot to continue to produce. When facing sinkers from right-handed pitching, Linor has generated a remarkable .655 xSLG and a .507 xwOBA.

During this 10-game hitting streak, Lindor has held a .512/.563/.907 line with five doubles, four home runs, and four stolen bases. He is a must-play in this matchup.

Bryson Stott, 2B on DK, 2B/SS on FD - PHI ($4.5K DK/$3.1K FD)

After posting a low .731 OPS from July through August 12, Stott has begun to find his swing. Over his last nine games entering Saturday, Stott has posted a .367/.424/.667 line with an impressive 1.091 OPS. During this stretch, Stott has hit two home runs and added three doubles.

Stott is in a great spot to stay hot, facing four-seamer-heavy right-hander Jake Irvin. When facing four-seamers from right-handed pitching, Stott has generated a stellar .530 xSLG, which is the third-highest mark on the team (among Phillies who have seen at least 50 four-seamers since July 15).

Samuel Basallo, C - BAL ($3.3K DK/$2.4K FD)

The 21-year-old top prospect recently inked an eight-year extension, which will lock him up as an Oriole for the foreseeable future. Through his first five games in the majors (entering Saturday), Basallo has been a bit quiet, posting a low .250 AVG with a .607 OPS. However, he is in a great spot to break out facing Spencer Arrighetti.

When facing four-seamers from right-handers in his first week in the big leagues (Arrighetti's primary pitch), Basallo has posted a strong .429 xwOBA with a .464 xSLG. Arrighetti has allowed at least five runs in three of his last four outings.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Note - All advanced hitter metrics referenced are from July 15 and on

Kyle Schwarber, OF - PHI ($6.3K DK/$4.5K FD)

While his teammate Stott is a sneaky play, it's hard to avoid the top hitter on the Phillies in this prime matchup. Schwarber has enjoyed a remarkable campaign, launching 45 long balls with 109 RBI and 89 runs. He has gone deep four times over his last 11 games and has posted a .924 OPS over this stretch.

When facing four-seamers from right-handed pitching (Irvin's primary pitch), Schwarber has generated an incredible 1.392 xwOBA, which is nearly 500 points higher than the No. 2 mark on the team. He is worth paying for on this slate.

Matt Wallner, OF - MIN ($3.8K DK/$2.9K FD)

Wallner enters this game in a bit of a cold streak, holding a .125/.176/.208 line with just two doubles over his last eight games. However, prior to this skid, Wallner launched five home runs and posted a 1.250 OPS over his previous 11 contests.

This afternoon, he will face Chicago right-hander Yoendrys Gomez, who has leaned on his four-seamer 35% of the time this month. When facing four-seam fastballs from righties, Wallner has generated a strong .590 xSLG. Expect a bounce-back from Wallner in this excellent matchup.

Dylan Beavers, OF - BAL ($2.6K DK/$2.3K FD)

My final outfielder to target is another recently promoted Baltimore prospect. Like his teammate, Basallo has a top matchup to find success against four-seamer-heavy Arrighetti. Through his first six games in the majors, Beavers has tallied at least one hit in all but one and gone 6-for-20 with a double and a home run.

When facing four-seamers from right-handed pitching during this stretch, Beavers has generated a strong .425 xwOBA.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. New York Mets at Bryce Elder

Over his last three outings, the right-hander has posted a hefty 7.64 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP. He has struck out just 12 hitters through these 17 2/3 innings while walking six.

As noted above, when discussing Lindor, Elder has leaned heavily on his sinker in August, which has not brought him positive results. Since the start of the month, this pitch has generated a high .343 BA and a .429 SLG. Under the hood, this pitch has posted a .337 xwOBA. His No. 2 pitch, his slider, has not fared much better, carrying a .252 xBA.

Favorite Combo: Lindor, Soto, Baty, Alonso

2. Philadelphia Phillies vs. Jake Irvin

A close No. 2 stack to target is the Phillies against Irvin. Irvin has allowed six earned runs in back-to-back games and has held a hefty 8.10 ERA and a 1.80 WHIP over his last 30 innings of work.

In August, his primary pitch, his four-seamer, has generated a .500 xwOBA with a .658 xSLG.

Favorite Combo: Schwarber, Stott, Kepler, Bader

3. Minnesota Twins at Yoendrys Gomez

After striking out seven on August 12, Gomez took a big step back in his most recent outing, allowing four runs (three earned) with seven hits to the Atlanta Braves.

His primary pitch, his four-seamer, his due for significant regression, suggesting he could continue to see these struggles this afternoon. His fastball has posted a surface .250 SLG but holds a .461 xSLG under the hood.

Favorite Combo: Keaschall, Wallner, Larnach, Lee, Lewis
