BALLER MOVE: Sit in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3
ANALYSIS: Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard was an afterthought entering the season. The former Oklahoma State star has been a solid fantasy producer. He is the RB28 for the year, averaging 9.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game despite splitting time in the backfield with Miles Sanders.
Hubbard has had the best season of his career. He has 215 rushing attempts for 819 yards and five touchdowns, all setting career highs. The young running back has also had a solid role in the passing game, totaling 37 receptions on 42 targets for 224 receiving yards in 2023.
Fantasy players still playing in season-long leagues or taking part in DFS this week will want to avoid the third-year running back. The Panthers face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a meaningless game for Carolina. However, the Buccaneers will win the NFC South division title with a win.
Their run defense has been outstanding. Tampa Bay has surrendered only 15.7 fantasy points per game to running backs, the third-fewest in the NFL. While they struggled to stop the run for a few weeks, the Buccaneers have been excellent since getting their starting linebackers back.
