Dallas Cowboys' fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 17 (2023). Should you should start or sit the Dallas Cowboys D/ST for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Tier 4 (Overall DST #13)
ANALYSIS: The Dallas Cowboys return home to face Detroit and the NFL's third-best offense at AT&T Stadium on Saturday night. The Lions are averaging 394 yards of offense per game, behind only Miami and San Francisco.
The Cowboys, however, had held opposing offenses to an average of 299.7 yards per game (sixth in the league) and 19.1 points per game (fifth in the league). They are fresh off holding the Dolphins (NFL's best offense) to just 22 points.
Dallas' defense has 13 interceptions, eight fumble recoveries and 40 sacks so far this season. They also possess cornerback DaRon Bland who leads the NFL with eight interceptions and six pick-sixes, though he hasn't picked off a pass since Week 13 against Seattle.
While the numbers indicate there is a good chance we see an offensive shootout on Saturday, there is also a good chance the Cowboys defense wreaks havoc and causes some issues for Jard Goff and the Lions.
The Cowboys D/ST is ranked 13th in our consensus staff rankings. You can start them if you need to.
