DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (11/22/23): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

LaMelo Ball - Charlotte Hornets

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on November 22nd, 2023. Juan Carlos Blanco provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

With the NBA ceding Thursday to turkey and football, we have a massive 14-game Thanksgiving Eve slate tonight that's become an annual tradition. That means big-money tournaments galore on both DraftKings and FanDuel, as well as plenty of options for smaller turbo slates for those who don't quite have the appetite for having to operate with such a large player pool.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/22/23. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome new NBA injuries report tool as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7 p.m. ET.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

LaMelo Ball, CHA vs. WAS – PG ($10,200 DK; $9,900 FD)

Ball is finally healthy again and playing like it, averaging 48.8 DK/45.9 FD points per game while averaging a career-best 25.3 points per contest with the help of career-high 39.1 percent three-point shooting. The standout guard draws one of the very best matchups in the league for backcourt players and DFS production in general, as the Wizards are allowing an Eastern Conference-high 31.6 offensive efficiency rating to point guards. Washington is also surrendering over 52 DK and over 51 FD points per contest to PGs, along with an NBA-high 29.5 assists per game.

Scottie Barnes, TOR at IND – PG/SF/PF ($8,600 DK; $9,100 FD)

Barnes has been enjoying a career year following the departure of Fred VanVleet to Houston in free agency, even as he's seen a bit of a downturn in production over the last three games. Barnes is still averaging 46.7 DK/45.2 FD points per game, and he draws a matchup Wednesday that could certainly coax a higher-end performance out of him. The Pacers have surrendered highly elevated 49.7 percent shooting to small forwards, including 41.1 percent from three-point range. Barnes is shooting an impressive 47.7 percent overall for the season, and he's draining his three-point attempts at a 39.3 percent clip over his last five games.

D'Angelo Russell, LAL vs. DAL – PG ($6,600 DK; $6,600 FD)

Russell was highly efficient in Tuesday's lopsided win over the Jazz, going 7-for-9 from the field on his way to 39.3 DK/38.6 FD points across just 26 minutes. That should leave the veteran guard with both momentum and some relatively fresh legs for Wednesday's showdown against Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. The Mavs have allowed the fifth-highest offensive efficiency rating to point guards (30.6) while ceding 47.0 percent shooting, including 41.9 percent from behind the arc. Dallas is also surrendering over 50 fantasy points per game to ones, along with the fourth-most assists per road game (28.9) overall. With salaries he's well capable of outpacing, especially with the minutes he should log Wednesday, Russell shapes up as very appealing value.

ALSO CONSIDER: James Harden, LAC at SAN - PG/SG ($7,900 DK; $7,400 FD); Fred VanVleet, HOU vs. MEM - PG ($7,700 DK; $8,000 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jayson Tatum, BOS vs. MIL – SF/PF ($10,300 DK; $10,400 FD)

Tatum has been playing at a career-best level, which, considering his NBA body of work thus far, is really saying something. The multi-time All-Star is clocking 28.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest, and he's averaging just under 50 DK points per contest. Tatum is especially worth considering in games where he figures to log a boatload of minutes, and Wednesday's matchup against the arch-rival Bucks certainly qualifies as such. Milwaukee is also ranked in the bottom 10 in offensive efficiency rating allowed to PFs (27.9), and they're allowing the fifth-most DK (52.3) and FD (50.9) points per game to fours. Tatum also had one 60-plus fantasy-point tally in this matchup last season, furthering his appeal.

Paul George, LAC at SAN – SF/SG ($8,800 DK; $8,600 FD)

George is still putting up impressive production despite now sharing the floor with yet another high-usage option in James Harden. PG13 is averaging 42.6 DK/41.6 FD points per game, and he's boasting his best scoring average (24.8 PPG) since the 2018-19 season in OKC. What's more, George is currently averaging a career-high 2.3 steals per contest and shooting 40.0 percent from three-point range, making him quite the nightmare matchup for a Spurs team allowing a Western Conference-high 39.6 percent success rate from behind the arc and 9.4 steals per contest. What's more, San Antonio yields the third-highest offensive efficiency rating to two-guards (29.2), as well as NBA-high 49.5 DK/49.2 FD points per game to the position.

Miles Bridges, CHA vs. WAS – SF/PF ($7,200 DK; $7,100 FD)

It's a testament to Bridges' talent that he's been able to jump right back into action with minimal rust after missing a season-plus, as he's already averaging 16.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals per contest over his first three games. Bridges' conditioning is a non-issue as well, as he's averaging 36.7 minutes per contest. Like Ball, Bridges is in a great spot to build on his already impressive averages of 36.7 DK/35.9 FD points, as the fast-paced Wizards are allowing the 10th-highest offensive efficiency rating to small forwards (24.0), along with an NBA-high 50.3 DK/49.9 FD points per game to the position.

ALSO CONSIDER: Mikal Bridges, BKN at ATL - SF/PF ($8,000 DK; $7,600 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Domantas Sabonis, SAC at NOP – C ($10,100 DK; $10,100 FD)

Sabonis may be less rostered than usual on the 28-team slate after a clunker in this same matchup Monday night, but that makes him more appealing from a tournament perspective. The versatile big man is enjoying a stellar season overall that includes averages of 50.2 DK/47.6 FD points per contest, and the matchup against the Pelicans isn't prohibitive by the numbers.

New Orleans checks in ranked No. 24 in offensive efficiency rating allowed to centers (35.2), and it's also allowing 60 DK/58.8 FD points per game to fives. The Pels are also yielding the fifth-most assists per game of any team on its home floor (28.0), while Sabonis is just a tick below the career-high 7.3 assists per game he averaged last season with a figure of 7.2.

Alperen Sengun, HOU vs. MEM – C ($8,200 DK; $8,400 FD)

Sengun is putting together a career-best season, averaging 42.7 DK/41.5 FD points per game while putting up career highs in 20.9 points and 5.7 assists per contest. Sengun's efficiency is also at a career-best for the moment, as he's shooting 58.8 percent, including an improving 34.6 percent from distance. The Grizzlies have been hit hard by injury in the frontcourt since before the season even began, and they've slipped into the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency rating allowed to centers (33.0) and also concede over 53 fantasy points per game to the position. Memphis is also giving up a Western Conference-high 57.1 rebounds per road game, adding to Sengun's appeal.

Jakob Poeltl, TOR at IND – C ($6,000 DK; $6,300 FD)

Poeltl has once again been offering some well-rounded production this season, putting up 10.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.0 blocks per contest. The veteran big man is averaging 28.2 DK/28.5 FD points per contest and faces a Pacers team Wednesday that's allowing the second-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (38.9) and over 58 fantasy points per game to the position. Indy is also giving up an Eastern Conference-high 7.4 blocks per home game, especially relevant when considering a player of Poeltl's rim-protecting ability.

ALSO CONSIDER: Anthony Davis, LAL vs. DAL - C/PF ($9,800 DK; $10,700 FD)
