Salvon Ahmed is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: With Jeff Wilson Jr. (ribs/finger) and De'Von Achane (knee) out of action, Salvon Ahmed will slot in as the Dolphins' RB2 behind Raheem Mostert. In Week 6, Miami will face the Carolina Panthers, who have allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to running backs this season.
Ahmed has just nine touches on the season, but in an elevated role, he's a viable flex option. The Dolphins will likely put this game away early, meaning Ahmed could see plenty of "garbage time" rushes. If he gets red zone and goal line action, a double-digit fantasy point game is well within his range of outcomes.
Wilson will return soon, but Achane is out for at least four games after being placed on IR. Either way, Ahmed has value for at least this week. Miami has had multiple fantasy-relevant running backs in each of the last three weeks. Fantasy managers in a tough spot at running back should give him a look.
