Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor was sidelined with a hamstring injury during the preseason and was later placed on the Physically Unable to Perform List. As a result, he was unable to play in the first four games of the season.
However, ahead of Week 5, the Colts are reinstating him off the PUP list, and Taylor will practice on Wednesday. After overcoming an injury and potential trade scenarios, the star running back could make his season debut for the Colts soon.

Will Jonathan Taylor Play In Week 5?
As per the latest updates, Jonathan Taylor hasn't been declared to play in Week 5 against the Titans. However, he will practice on Wednesday, and much more clarity will be provided about his status.
There is optimism around the Colts camp that Taylor will play this upcoming week and help out rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson. In the 24-year-old running back's absence, Zack Moss was the Colts RB1, and Trey Sermon was also involved in the mix.
So far this season, the Colts' offensive line has held up well for their running game. Due to this, Taylor could quite possibly hit the ground running when he returns and prove his worth to everyone.
Taylor was looking for a new contract throughout the offseason, but the Colts refused to meet his demands, prompting the player to request a trade. Several teams expressed interest in him, but as of now, he will make his season debut for the AFC South team.
Jonathan Taylor 2023 Fantasy Outlook
Due to an ankle injury, Jonathan Taylor played only nine games last season. In those games, he recorded 861 yards on 191 carries and scored four rushing touchdowns. He averaged 78.3 rushing yards per game and 4.5 yards per carry.
His production did take a hit as compared to his phenomenal season in 2021, but that was largely due to the injury. With him now being fully healthy again and the Colts playing well, Taylor is likely to have another great season.
Whether he will remain with the Colts after the trade deadline remains to be seen, but there is no denying that wherever he plays, the Wisconsin product will dominate. According to multiple reports, the Cleveland Browns are linked with a move for Taylor, and if he does, the 2020 NFL Draft second-round pick could put up monster numbers and fill Nick Chubb's void.
