MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Aaron Nola OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-165, DK) vs. MIA
I'll start the slate off with Aaron Nola. Nola, who's in a contract year, has had quite the up-and-down season here in 2023. He's upped the strikeout numbers lately though, striking out 29.8% of hitters over the last two weeks. It'll be his sixth start against the Fish since the beginning of 2022, and he's cleared this number every single time. He projects a 30.48% strikeout rate and 6.06 strikeouts in this one. If he's able to get into the deeper innings of this game, he could easily finish with double digits.
Cristian Javier OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-145, DK) vs. OAK
An interesting one here, as Javier hasn't really been a high strikeout guy for much of this season. However, he racked up eight strikeouts in his last start on Sunday against the Yankees and has a 36.8% (7/19) strikeout rate against current Padres hitters that he's faced in his career. He projects to a 25.18% strikeout rate today, as well as 6.13 strikeouts.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Ronald Acuna OVER 1.5 TB (-150, FD) vs. PIT
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Acuna smashed another 455-foot home run last night and is back to being the clear favorite in the NL MVP race. He is smashing right-handed pitching this season, coming into this one with a .335 batting average and .255 ISO against righties. He brings in a projected .434 wOBA and 2.36 projected total bases, making the juice absolutely worth the squeeze here.
Max Muncy OVER 1.5 TB (-105, FD) vs. WSH
I'll wrap things up with Max Muncy's total bases prop. Muncy has turned things up through the dog days of August, showing a positive uptick in wOBA against right-handed pitching over every benchmark (2023, L30, etc.). While he brings in just a .227 batting average against right-handed pitching, his .277 ISO surely makes up for it. Not to mention, Jake Irvin has a projected batting average of .277 against left-handed hitters. Muncy projects to a .394 wOBA and 2.01 total bases today, showing some solid value here.
