Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker said that outfielder Chas McCormick (knee) was scratched from Thursday's lineup against the Baltimore Orioles due to a bruised left knee that he suffered while diving for a ball on Wednesday night. Baker said McCormick is "day-to-day." Mauricio Dubon will start in left field on Thursday and hit seventh against Orioles right-hander Dean Kremer. Hopefully McCormick will be able to return on Friday for the Astros. The 28-year-old outfielder is having his best season to date in his third big-league campaign, slashing .274/.366/.520 with an .885 OPS, 15 home runs, 13 doubles, two triples, 47 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 40 runs scored in 73 games.
