Jesus Sanchez Back In Friday's Lineup
10 months agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jesus Sanchez (neck) is back in action on Friday, starting in center field and batting cleanup against the visiting Detroit Tigers and right-hander Reese Olson. Sanchez left the game early on Wednesday with neck tightness, but it wasn't a serious injury and he'll be available for a series against the Tigers this weekend. The 25-year-old Dominican left-handed hitter doesn't usually play much against left-handed pitchers, but he's an option for fantasy managers in deep-mixed leagues when he's facing righties. In 72 games (233 plate appearances) for the Marlins in his fourth major-league season in 2023, Sanchez is hitting .258 (55-for-213) with 10 homers, 16 doubles, 35 RBI, three steals and 26 runs. Nine of his 10 homers have come against righties.
