Bobby Witt Jr. - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Today's Underdog MLB DFS prop picks for Tuesday, July 21, 2023, by Dawn Tepper. Use her MLB over/under props recommendations to win money on Underdog.

Happy Friday, RotoBallers! Welcome to our Underdog Fantasy MLB DFS prop picks for Friday, July 21, 2023. Welcome back to our DFS series covering Underdog Fantasy contests! We will continue to focus on the MLB DFS props offered on Underdog called Higher/Lower (Over/Under).

Higher/Lower is traditional over/under DFS prop picks – whether you think pitchers and hitters will score Over or Under the set lines, and choosing your amount. You can parlay multiple picks together to vastly increase the juice (ex: 3 picks = 6x your bet). Underdog Fantasy offers some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win MLB DFS games. At Underdog Fantasy, you're not playing against other people – you're just playing against the projections.

Kyle Bradish, 28.5 Fantasy Points (LOWER)

Bradish and the Baltimore Orioles are seeking a second win in a row versus the Rays on the road. Bradish has a 3.85 xFIP and 23.4% strikeout rate for the season. He has six wins and four losses for the season and is 4-1 in his last five starts. That said, the Rays have five players with an over .800 OPS, and the team bats have a 120 wRC+ versus right-handed pitchers. I expect Bradish to do well tonight but not quite over 28.5 fantasy points.

Bobby Witt Jr., 8.0 Fantasy Points (LOWER)

Kansas City is facing right-hander Clarke Schmidt tonight in New York. Witt is batting .236/.275/.426 versus righties, and the team has a very low 77 wRC+ for the season versus right-handers. Clarke has a 3.49 xFIP and 27.0% strikeout rate versus right-handed batters this season, and in his last five starts, he has three wins with no losses. Witt might get a hit off of Schmidt tonight, but I'm not expecting much more from the young Kansas City shortstop.

Joey Gallo, 0.5 Singles (LOWER)

Versus right-handed pitchers this year, Gallos has a .176/.296/.460 slash line and has more homers than he does singles, with 10 singles and 14 home runs. In his three games versus the White Sox this season, Gallo has a .000/.272/.000 slash line, and .071/.188/.286 in his last five total. The Twins are facing right-hander Lance Lynn tonight, who has a 6.06 ERA but a 3.83 xFIP. He has a 27% K rate, and Minnesota has a 27.2% strikeout percentage versus righties. Hits will be difficult to come by for Minnesota, and I expect Gallo to stay under 0.5 singles tonight against Chicago.

Underdog Fantasy (UNDER)

Underdog Fantasy (UNDER)

Nick Pratto, 0.5 Total Bases (HIGHER)

Nick Pratto and the Royals are in New York tonight, facing Clarke Schmidt and the Bronx Bombers. Right-hander Schmidt has a 23.2% K rate, and Kansas City's is 24.35% versus right-handed pitchers. Pratto has a .673 OPS and 88 wRC+ versus righties, but he has a .708 OPS and 96 wRC+ on the road versus right-handed pitchers. He is not where he should be, but he is much better and definitely good for at least one base in New York tonight.

Corey Seager, 0.5 Singles (HIGHER)

For the season, left-handed Texas Ranger Seagar is slashing .346/.408/.615. The Rangers are at home facing right-hander Tony Gonsolin, who has an 18.9 % strikeout rate and 5.01 xFIP. Versus righties, Seager is batting .356/.429/.667 with 11 home runs and 42 RBI. The Rangers have a 119 wRC+ versus right-handed pitchers this season, and Seager's slash line versus righties at home is .410/.480/.771 with a 237 wRC+. I think it's safe to say Seager will go over 0.5 singles versus the Dodgers tonight.

Christian Yelich, 2.0 Hits + Runs + RBI (HIGHER)

The Brewers are at home tonight, going up against right-hander Michael Soroka and the Braves. In his last five games, Yelich is batting .381/.409/.952, and for the season, versus right-handed pitchers, he has a slash line of .305/.403/.523 with 11 home runs and 43 RBI. Soroka has a 5.83 xFIP, a 16.7% K rate, and against left-handed batters on the road has a 13% strikeout rate and 5.88 xFIP. Yelich will undoubtedly go over 2.0 Hits + Runs +RBI at home tonight.
