X-Rays Come Back Negative On Kris Bryant
10 months agoColorado Rockies manager Bud Black said that outfielder Kris Bryant (forearm), who left Wednesday's game against the visiting Houston Astros early after being hit by a pitch in his forearm, is going to be OK. X-rays came back negative on Bryant, and with a day off coming on Thursday, there's a chance he won't have to miss any games at all. The Rockies begin a series on Friday against the Miami Marlins on the road. Before leaving on Wednesday, Bryant went 0-for-2 to drop his season average to .254. The 31-year-old former Rookie of the Year and MVP has become injury-prone and isn't the same hitter he was in his prime, but he can still contribute in deep-mixed leagues at hitter-friendly Coors Field. He entered Wednesday's contest hitting .256 (61-for-238) with eight homers, 23 RBI and 27 runs scored in 62 games.
