Riley Greene Retreats To The Bench
1 year agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene is taking a day off on Tuesday as the team battles the Kansas City Royals. Matt Vierling will take over in center field and will hit second in the batting order on Tuesday against Royals left-hander Daniel Lynch. Greene missed significant time this year with a leg injury, but he's back now and will remain Detroit's starting center fielder the rest of the way. He also has a strong .295/.365/.442 slash line with an .807 OPS, six home runs, 20 RBI, six stolen bases and 33 runs scored in 224 at-bats. Greene should be rostered in all fantasy leagues. Vierling is in an enviable lineup spot in a good matchup, but he also has just one hit in 15 at-bats in his last five games for Detroit.
