DraftKings College Basketball DFS Lineup Picks for 1/18/23 - CBB Daily Fantasy Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

We are back up to a dozen games on tap for our college basketball tournaments today. The early bird features UConn heading to Jersey to take on the Hall. Once again, 7 PM features the bulk of the action. We have some SEC flavor with Florida in College Station and Auburn heading to Red Stick for a battle of the Tigers. We have Ohio State at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Pitt heads to Louisville to take on the Cardinals. Virginia Tech heads over to Charlottesville to take on the Hoos. We end the 7 PM action with TCU in Morgantown to take on West Virginia.

We have to wait until 8:30 for the next tip between Xavier and DePaul in Chicago. 9 PM brings us Arkansas in Columbia to take on the Tigers. Providence heads to Milwaukee to take on Marquette. We also have the basketball version of Bedlam in Stillwater. We close this out West with Oregon heading down to Berkeley to take on Cal. This is going to be another fun one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/18/23, starting at 6:30 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Souley Boum, Xavier ($9,300)

Boum continues to put up big numbers against everyone not named UConn. He still put up 33.5 DraftKings points on Marquette despite an atypical rough night from the field. Boum packs the stat sheet in every category besides blocks for the Musketeers. This is a great matchup against DePaul. We should see Boum back in the 40s for this one.

El Ellis, Louisville ($8,200)

Ellis has caught fire since the calendar flipped to 2023. He has scored 74 points in four games of the new year and has 143.75 DraftKings points in that span. Ellis has scored in double figures in each of the last 10 games, averaging 19.4 points per game in that span. If Ellis can shoot a little better, his ceiling is as high as Boum's, but Ellis is shooting just 31% from the floor over the last two games.

Jermaine Cousinard, Oregon ($5,300)

A knee injury cost Cousinard the first 14 games of the season and the Ducks limited his minutes in his first three games back. They unleashed him over the weekend against Arizona and Cousinard responded with 44.75 DraftKings points in just 31 minutes. He has been a huge shot in the arm for the Ducks thus far thanks to his work on the defensive end and efficient shooting. He likely won't top that mark against Cal, but his ceiling is higher than anyone else at this price and it's not even close.

Caleb Asberry, Oklahoma State ($3,900)

Asberry played so well with Avery Anderson out that he still logged a team-high in minutes even though Anderson played 30 over the weekend against Baylor. Asberry has 63 DraftKings points over the last two games alone. The Cowboys can't keep him off the court, and as per usual, DraftKings is slow to adjust the price. We get Asberry at a huge discount for at least one more game.

Also consider: Bryce Hopkins, Providence ($9,000); Jamarius Burton, Pittsburgh ($7,700); Kameron Jones, Marquette ($7,600); Devin Carter, Providence ($7,100); Dexter Dennis, Texas A&M ($5,700); Allen Flanigan, Auburn ($5,500); Will Richard, Florida ($5,100); Nike Sibande, Pittsburgh ($4,300)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Colin Castleton, Florida ($9,800)

Castleton went through a rough patch in December, but he notched his first 50 DraftKings point game since November 14 in the last game against Missouri. A&M should provide a little more resistance on the inside, but Castleton's floor is back to the high 30s instead of the mid-20s. That makes him far less of a risk than he was a month ago.

Brice Sensabaugh, Ohio State ($7,600)

Sensabaugh has been on a tear over the last month. He has at least 30 DraftKings points in every game since the December 8 tilt against Rutgers. Sensabaugh currently has back-to-back double-doubles despite finding himself in foul trouble against Minnesota. Nebraska doesn't have enough on the inside to battle Sensabaugh, so he should be in for a lot more than 30 tonight. He could flirt with 40 again.

Ben Vander Plas, Virginia ($5,600)

The struggles of Kadin Shedrick have opened up a spot in the starting five for the Ohio transfer. Vander Plas has responded with 69.25 DraftKings points in his last two games. DraftKings was on top of this price increase and Vander Plas will have his hands full with the Hokies, but he's a good shooter and a good rebounder along with a strong shot blocker. Even if he doesn't score as much, he still has a solid floor starting for the Hoos.

Jerome Hunter, Xavier ($4,700)

Hunter is still the direct backup to Zach Freemantle, but he has proven to be a good scorer with the second unit for the Musketeers. Hunter routinely plays about half the game and has scored in double figures in three of the last four games after closing 2022 averaging 11.2 points over the last two weeks of the calendar year. He's a bit of a risk since Hunter is mostly a scorer, but he's worth a look in a plus matchup.

Also consider: Justyn Mutts, Virginia Tech ($8,900); Jack Nunge, Xavier ($8,400); Emanuel Miller, TCU ($7,500); Tre Mitchell, West Virginia ($7,200); Jalen Hill, Oklahoma ($5,900); Jae'lyn Withers, Louisville ($5,100); Sydney Curry, Louisville ($4,900); Nathan Bittle, Oregon ($3,800)
