DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (12/23/22)

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Friday (12/23/22). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We are back up to two-a-days for...one day. We kick off a weekend that only has three total college football games and two of them are here. We can't complain too much though! We get NFL on Christmas Day and the days of four bowl games per day are quickly approaching! Don't worry...I'll still be around to keep you company with the betting picks for the rest of bowl season early next week and some college basketball DFS over the weekend.

We kick off the double-dip in Shreveport for the Independence Bowl between Louisiana and Houston. It's almost a home came for the Cajuns, but what Houston lacks in built-in fans they make up for in talent. We finish it off with the Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa. How awesome is it to name a bowl after a pirate so mythical that he may not have even existed? That's pretty damn epic, almost on a Mike Leach level of piracy. ARRRR! Let's get to those picks, matey!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/23/22 locking at 3 pm eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Clayton Tune, Houston ($7,500)

Yeah, Sam Hartman may win someone the slate. It won't be me. He fell apart in the third quarter against Louisville and hasn't been right since. I'd much rather go with Tune. Even though he sometimes makes questionable decisions, we know what we're getting. He hasn't been under 28 DraftKings points since Week 5 against Tulane. He has all the upside you could ever ask for at any price. He put up 69.18 DraftKings points against SMU in a game that ended in regulation. Tune will get us somewhere between 28 and 70 DraftKings points. I am completely on board with that for this price.

Brady Cook, Missouri ($6,500)

Cook had a rough few weeks to begin the season, but things started to click for the sophomore in the Week 9 game against South Carolina. Cook closed the season with 136.32 DraftKings points over the last five games of the season, four of them against SEC opponents, culminating with a season-best 36.48 in the win over Arkansas. Cook has six passing touchdowns and four rushing touchdowns without committing a turnover in that span. Do we want more touchdowns? Ideally, yes, but Cook topped 100 rushing yards in two of the last three games. That eases the pain quite nicely.

Also consider: Sam Hartman, Wake Forest ($8,400); Chandler Fields, Louisiana ($6,000)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Stacy Sneed, Houston ($5,600)

Sneed missed the Week 12 game against East Carolina and only had one touch in the Week 13 game thanks to a concussion, but he should be good to go in this one. Ta'Zhawn Henry filled in nicely, but we saw Sneed take over the feature back role in Week 11 against Temple. When both were healthy down the stretch, Sneed led in touches. Both are great plays against Louisiana, but if only using one, I'm using Sneed.

Cody Schrader, Missouri ($5,200)

The transfer from tiny Truman State (my cousin went there!) has emerged as the feature back for Missouri. Of course, Brady Cook routinely finishes with more yards, but Schrader scored three of his eight touchdowns on the season in the last two games. The only game in which Schrader didn't have at least 15 touches since Week 6 was in the Tennessee game which got out of hand quickly. Schrader is a big part of this offense. He's not going to break the slate, but he's not going to sink your lineup either. He's a strong play at this price.

Also consider: Chris Smith, Louisiana ($6,200); Christian Turner, Wake Forest ($4,100)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Nathaniel Dell, Houston ($7,700)

Dell had a season for the ages, and he is playing his last game as a Cougar in the Independence Bowl. He racked up 103 catches for 1,354 yards and 15 touchdowns on the season. No one else on this team caught more than 42 passes. This is another favorable matchup for Dell and the Cougars. He hasn't been under 24 DraftKings points since the Week 3 disaster against Kansas. Lock. Him. In!

A.T. Perry, Wake Forest ($7,000)

There is plenty of value on this slate to get both of the volume receivers on the slate. Barring a major disaster, Perry will go over 1,000 yards on the season in this game and is a strong bet to add another touchdown. Since the disaster against Louisville when the entire Wake team imploded in Week 9, Perry has 35 receptions for 428 yards and six touchdowns in four games. That's not quite Dell numbers, but it's close enough. There's no one else that can come close to the top two receivers on this slate.

Luther Burden III, Missouri ($4,700)

Burden was one of the highest-rated incoming freshmen anywhere in the country for this season. The inconsistency of Brady Cook early on left Burden as an inconsistent contributor, and you can still make the claim that he is. However, with Cook throwing more passes, Burden has been catching more too. This guy is electric with the ball in his hands. Three of his last five receptions are touchdowns. He's best suited for GPP formats, but he is definitely worth taking a chance on at this price.

Also consider: Michael Jefferson, Louisiana ($6,500); Matthew Golden, Houston ($5,300); Taylor Morin, Wake Forest ($5,000); KeSean Carter, Houston ($3,500)
