BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 23% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: After a poor start to the season in which he was basically an afterthought, James Cook has heated up right in time for the fantasy playoffs. Cook never played more than 18 snaps (or 26% of all offensive plays by the Bills) in a single game before Week 13 TNF. That might change going forward, though.
Cook rushed the rock 14 times for 64 yards against the Pats last Thursday while adding 41 more yards on a perfect 6-for-6 pass-catching outcome. No need to mention all of his stats marked season-high figures for him while he finished the week (pending MNF) inside the RB1 realm with a top-12 performance of 16.5 PPR points.
The rookie did outpace teammate Devin Singletary in carries (14 to 13) while also rushing for 64, way above Singletary's 13-yard rushing tally. Cook got targetted four more times than Singletary on top of that, too.
With the Bills facing the Jets next weekend as the clear favorites, odds are they rush the ball a ton to run the clock. Even if that's not the case, Cook is coming off a fantastic pass-catching performance that could help him get some pass-play snaps next week in any case. Not the safest of plays, but surely one with tons of upside for those needy and managing in deeper leagues.
