DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Thursday 10/27 - Week 9 Daily College Fantasy Football

Dalton Kincaid - CFB DFS Lineup Picks, Daily College Fantasy Football, NFL Draft Rookies

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Thursday Week 9 (10/27/22). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

Considering how awful the Thursday night games have been in the NFL, I'm going out on the shortest limb in history and saying that college football is going to be where the action is! We are up to three games this week on Thursday with some Pac-12 action, some ACC, and the son of an NFL Hall of Famer on the slate. What more could you want?

The early games feature the Hokies going down to Raleigh to take on the beleaguered Wolfpack. Southern Miss welcomes in the Cajuns of Louisiana. The late game out west is on the Paloose with Utah visiting Washington State. This is a quietly loaded Thursday slate!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/27/22 locking at 7:30 pm eastern time. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Cameron Rising, Utah ($8,800)

Rising had a career game in the upset over USC in Week 7. He also has six rushing touchdowns in the last three games. Rising's rushing ability is mostly glossed over when discussing his ability as a quarterback, but maybe it shouldn't be. When Utah has struggled to get it going on the ground, Rising has been there. He's also the de facto goal line back for the Utes, so that ups his already solid ceiling.

Jack Chambers, North Carolina State ($6,000)

We saw later in the Syracuse game that Chambers got more comfortable in the offense. He didn't put up great numbers against the Orange, but the fact that Chambers didn't turn it over and ran for 58 yards on a good defense has me high on him here. Virginia Tech's defense has been awful, particularly against the run. Chambers has a high ceiling for that reason.

Also consider: Ben Wooldridge, Louisiana ($7,300); Cameron Ward, Washington State ($6,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Malachi Thomas, Virginia Tech ($7,200)

I'm not wild about this matchup, but we can't ignore the usage on Thomas since his return to the lineup in Week 6. In the two games since, Thomas has 28 carries, 11 receptions, and has scored twice. Pitt and Miami both have strong run defenses, as does North Carolina State. Still, the Hokies have given Thomas the ball in every way they can, signifying that he is the key piece of this offense. On a small slate like this, that's good enough for me.

Demie Sumo-Karngbaye, North Carolina State ($4,700)

Demie was expected to play in Week 7 against the Orange and participated in warm-ups but was ultimately held out of the loss. We still don't know what was wrong with him, but considering he warmed up ten days ago, I would say that DSK is a go here. I mentioned that Virginia Tech's run defense has been terrible. Having a quarterback like Chambers will take some of the upside from DSK and Jordan Houston, but with Demie's price this low, the upside is still high enough.

Also consider: Frank Gore Jr., Southern Miss ($6,800); Micah Bernard, Utah ($6,200); Chris Smith, Louisiana ($5,800)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Dalton Kincaid, Utah ($6,500)

Kincaid had a Kyle Pitts-like game against USC. His 15 receptions and 217 yards are now Utah school records for a tight end. Kincaid may be a tight end, but this passing game revolves around him. Rising is always looking Kincaid's direction, especially in the red zone. He has four touchdowns in the four games since Brant Kuithe went down. Don't expect another monster like he had against the Trojans, but the ceiling is still pretty high on Kincaid.

Jason Brownlee, Southern Miss ($5,400)

The Eagles don't throw a lot, but Brownlee has remained productive no matter who the quarterback is. However, he has 20 of the 48 completions from Zach Wilcke since he took the starting job. The volume is there for Brownlee. The bad news is that Wilcke hasn't thrown for 200 yards in a game yet, so that caps the upside of Brownlee.

Robert Ferrel, Washington State ($4,600)

The Cougars have a lot of talented receivers, but the loss of Renard Bell left some targets open. Ferrel snatched up a large share of those against Oregon State in Week 7. He hauled in five passes for 131 yards against a tough Beavers defense. Stribling has been moved to the slot for this game, but I don't think that really affects Ferrel. He came from Incarnate Word along with Cam Ward, so I expect Ferrel to keep putting up strong numbers.

Tiaquelin Mims, Southern Miss ($3,400)

If you can't afford Brownlee, Mims is a strong second option. He has nine receptions over the last two games. He hasn't found the end zone yet, but he has been a reliable deeper threat for the Eagles. Brownlee is the possession guy, but Mims has been great over the last two weeks.

Also consider: De'zhaun Stribling, Washington State ($5,800); Kaleb Smith, Virginia Tech ($4,800); Donovan Ollie, Washington State ($4,600); John Stephens Jr., Louisiana ($4,200); Dae'quan Wright, Virginia Tech ($3,000)
