MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (8/26/25)

Christian Walker - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Thunder Dan's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Tuesday, 8/26/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Tuesdays never seem to disappoint, and today's slate is no exception. We have a massive 12-game slate on both slates tonight, and it can always be a bit overwhelming to crack open such a big slate and wonder, "Where the heck do I even start?"

Don't worry! I've got your back! I'll give you my top pitching matchups, hitters, and stacks and save you the time of researching every game! We have some good weather for hitters to target and a few elite pitching matchups that we can't ignore, either.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/26/2025, with the slate starting at 7:05 PM EST. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Hunter Brown - HOU vs. COL ($11K DK/$10.8K FD)

Brown is the highest-priced pitcher on the slate, but I think he's a worthy investment tonight in any format based on the stellar season he's having and his solid recent form.

Brown enters this matchup with a 2.36 ERA and has allowed two runs or fewer in five straight starts. Meanwhile, the Rockies continue to underwhelm on offense and are 29th in wRC+ vs. RHP over the last 30 days.

There is very little risk here and a solid floor. Pay up for Brown and feel good that you have one of the best pitchers in the league against an inferior opponent as a big favorite at home.

Matthew Boyd, CHC at SFG ($8.7K DK/$10K FD)

Boyd is a tad pricey for FanDuel players, but he makes for a very solid SP2 option on DraftKings tonight. The veteran lefty has found new life in Chicago this season. He's pitched to a 2.61 ERA and a stellar 1.04 WHIP, while piling up 12 wins.

He's had a few rocky outings recently, but I love this matchup for him tonight as he gets a Giants team that ranks 29th in team wRC+ against LHP over the last month. There's some solid strikeout potential here, too, as we saw Boyd rack up seven strikeouts over six innings against San Francisco earlier this season.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Christian Walker, 1B - HOU ($4K DK/$2.9K FD)

The Houston first baseman is making up for a disastrous start to the season by rounding into form for the stretch run. Walker has six hits in his last four games, including three home runs.

He'll face righty Tanner Gordon, who has shown some reverse splits this season, allowing RHH to slash .385/.471/.571 this season. This Houston team is loaded with good right-handed hitters, so it's going to be a spot that I target tonight for GPP stacks, too.

Brice Turang, 2B - MIL ($4.4K DK/$3.2K FD)

Turang has been as consistent a fantasy producer as you could want over the last month. He's hitting for average and has shown some sneaky good power and stolen base upside.

Over his last 10 games, Turang is averaging 10.5 DK points while slashing .389/.450/.611. He continues to be fairly priced for his reliable production and is about as safe a cash option as you will find on this slate.

Kyle Teel, C - CWS ($3.8K DK/$2.8K FD)

The Chicago rookie backstop has been on fire lately as the White Sox hitters continue to be a great value in DFS. Teel has multiple hits in four of his last six games, including two three-hit games and a four-hit game.

He's raised his average to .283 with his recent hitting binge and should slot into the middle of the order tonight against the very hittable right-hander, Michael Lorenzen, of Kansas City.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kerry Carpenter, OF - DET ($5.3K DK/$3K FD)

I was tempted to write up Aaron Judge with his BvP against MacKenzie Gore and some good hitting conditions at Yankee Stadium, but I don't think you need me to tell you he's a good play.

I am back on Carpenter for a second straight day. He didn't leave the yard last night, but finished 3-4 with a double and continues to be a top target for me against RHP.

The Athletics are rolling out another hittable righty tonight with Osvaldo Bido on the mound, and I can't help but want to stack up some more Tigers lefties as we have another night with excellent hitting conditions in Sutter Health Park.

Daulton Varsho, OF - TOR ($4.8K DK/$3.7K FD)

Varsho has been on a power surge in the second half and has three home runs in his last 10 games. He doesn't hit for average, but has elite power against RHP, clubbing 15 homers this season in only 157 at-bats.

Bailey Ober is the target tonight as he takes the hill for Minnesota. He's really labored this season and has some very poor stats against left-handers, allowing a .235 ISO and .521 SLG.

Varsho is a boom/bust option best reserved for tournaments as a one-off or part of a Blue Jays' stack.

Matt Wallner, OF - MIN ($3.7K DK/$2.9K FD)

Speaking of "BOOM/BUST," Matt Wallner has been doing a pretty good Joey Gallo impression lately, clubbing home runs while also carrying a high strikeout rate.

He was one of the few bright spots yesterday, as he hit two solo shots off Max Scherzer.

He'll face a very different type of pitcher tonight as Chris Bassitt, a true "junk-baller," is on the hill. If Wallner can sit back on the breaking balls tonight, he could easily deposit one in the seats. We've seen him go on home run streaks like this before in his career.

Others To Consider:

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Detroit Tigers at Athletics (Osvaldo Bido)

With a 6.5 team total, I am back on the Tigers tonight. They underperformed last night, but we know this is a great ballpark for hitters and that Bido is a mediocre arm who can get hit hard. Don't shy away from them just because they didn't get there last night; they could easily go for a big number tonight.

Favorite Combo: Carpenter, Greene, Perez, Keith, Sweeney

2. Houston Astros vs. Colorado Rockies (Tanner Gordon)

Gordon stands out as one of the worst pitchers on the slate. His numbers are actually worse away from Coors than at home, and the Astros have a formidable lineup now that Walker has heated up and both Pena and Alvarez are back in the lineup.

Favorite Combo: Pena, Altuve, Walker, Alvarez

3. Milwaukee Brewers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks (Brandon Pfaadt)

The Brew Crew has a 4.5 run implied total tonight against Pfaadt, who has been hit hard for much of the season. He's historically been worse vs. lefties, but this season he's been hit hard by hitters from both sides of the plate, so feel free to include William Contreras and Andrew Vaughn, too.

Favorite Combo: Frelick, Yelich, Contreras, Turang, Vaughn
