Domingo German To Make Another Rehab Start Tuesday
Domingo German (shoulder) threw three scoreless innings and allowed one hit on 40 pitches in his first minor league rehab outing with Single-A Tampa on June 22, and his next rehab outing is scheduled for Tuesday with Double-A Somerset. The 29-year-old is slowing building up his workload, but there's a good chance that he'll return to a relief role when he's ready to make his 2022 season debut. A swing role won't give German much fantasy value, but he could be worth a waiver-wire pickup if a Yankees starter gets injured and forces him into the rotation. Last year in 22 appearances (18 starts), German had a 4.58 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP with 98 strikeouts and 27 walks in 98 1/3 innings pitched.
