2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Taylor Ward (neck, shoulder) made an appearance as a pinch-hitter in Thursday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. He entered the game in the eighth inning, coming in for Shohei Ohtani (back), and he went on to line out in his only at-bat. This was Ward's first game action since last Friday, when he collided with the outfield wall while making a catch. He injured his neck and shoulder on the play and has been day-to-day over the past week. The 28-year-old has been fantastic at the plate this year, slashing .367/.477/.706 with nine home runs, 23 RBI and 27 runs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
