Three top fantasy baseball prospects - Jacob Misiorowski, Andrew Painter, Brady House - that can make big impacts. These MLB prospects are waiver wire pickups or stashes.
Through the opening months of the fantasy baseball season, we have seen several prospects make an impact in the major leagues. Athletics rookie Jacob Wilson is emerging as a favorite to win the batting title. At the same time, Phillies right-hander Mick Abel continues to hold his own after replacing the injured Aaron Nola (ankle).
In this piece, we will look at three of the top prospects in the sport and determine if they should be stashed. All three of these highly-touted prospects currently reside at the Triple-A level, but do they have a path to carry value in 2025 fantasy baseball?
So, let's dive in and see if these three prospects should be stashed or grabbed off the waiver wire and what their outlook is once they reach the majors.

Jacob Misiorowski, SP, Milwaukee Brewers
Current Level: Triple-A
Availability: 15% rostered
2025 MiLB stats: 63 1/3, 2.13 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 80 SO, 31 BB
While fellow top pitching prospects Bubba Chandler and Andrew Painter both came off disappointing outings this past week, Misiorowski was the opposite. On June 7, Misiorowski tossed five shutout frames against Triple-A Gwinnett. In this outing, Misiorowski struck out seven batters while allowing just two hits with three walks.
Since April 22 (44 2/3 innings), Misiorowski has been one of the most dominant pitchers at the Triple-A level. During this stretch, Misiorowski has tallied 59 punchouts while holding an impressive 1.81 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP. He served up just 19 walks and allowed only two long balls over this stretch.
Over his first four starts of the season (18 2/3 innings), Misiorowski allowed 12 walks and only tallied 21 punchouts. In this stretch, he held a higher 2.89 ERA with a 1.19 WHIP.
The No. 71-ranked prospect in baseball continues to improve at Triple-A and is making a strong case to reach the majors. With Brandon Woodruff (elbow) facing setbacks in his rehab assignment, Misiorowski did not have to wait much longer to get the call.
On Tuesday, the Brewers announced that they will be promoting their top pitching prospect to the major leagues. He is slated to make his MLB debut on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Given his high strikeout upside and improving command, Misiorowski is worth adding in all standings formats up to this outing.

Andrew Painter, SP, Philadelphia Phillies
Current Level: Triple-A
Availability: 5% rostered
2025 MiLB stats: 37 1/3 IP, 4.82 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, 41 SO, 12 BB
After recovering from Tommy John and missing the entirety of the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Andrew Painter has returned to the bump this season and is quickly approaching his MLB debut.
Painter was able to pitch in the Arizona Fall League but was held out of action during spring training to preserve his workload.
The Phillies opted for their top prospect to open the campaign with Low-A Clearwater. Across 11 1/3 innings of work, the right-hander struck out 12 batters and allowed just one walk.
He was then given the green light to make the jump to Triple-A, where he currently resides but has begun to struggle. On June 4, Painter struggled as he allowed six hits and four runs across four frames. Then, in his most recent start on June 10, the right-hander allowed a season-high six runs and eight hits against Worcester.
However, fantasy managers should not be concerned because, before this minor skid, Painter had a 2.65 ERA with a 1.24 WHIP through his first 17 frames at the level.
During this stretch, he tallied 20 punchouts and allowed just one long ball. Given the time he missed, he will likely experience occasional growing pains as he puts the final touches on his development.
While manager Rob Thompson noted that it is "unlikely" Painter reaches the majors until after the All-Star break, he remains a strong stash option in all 12-team leagues. In 2022, Painter struck out an incredible 155 batters in just 103 2/3 innings of work. When he gets the call, he will carry just as much upside as Misiorowski and Pittsburgh's Bubba Chandler.

Brady House, 3B, Washington Nationals
Current Level: Triple-A
Availability: 5% rostered
2025 AAA stats: 60 G, .298/.350/.517, 14 2B, 12 HR, 36 RBI, 68 SO
The final prospect we will analyze in this piece is infielder Brady House.
House has been swinging a hot bat of late with Triple-A Rochester. House is currently on an eight-game hitting streak for Triple-A Rochester and has three multi-hit games in six games this month. Over his last 22 games, House is slashing .330/.367/.626 with six doubles, seven home runs, 18 RBI, and 20 runs scored.
This is an excellent sign for the No. 3-ranked prospect in the system, as he struggled during his first taste of Triple-A during the 2024 campaign. Across his first 54 games with Rochester last season, the No. 94-ranked prospect in baseball according to MLB.com held an underwhelming .250/.280/.375 slash line with just six round-trippers.
He held a low .655 OPS over this stretch. However, earlier in the 2024 season, he launched 13 home runs across 75 games with Double-A.
As someone who will provide little to no steals, House needs the bat to stand out to provide fantasy value moving forward. While he's currently running a below-average 78.5% zone and 70.3% overall contact rate in Triple-A, House has a 90.9 mph AVG EV, 46.7% hard-hit rate, and a 10.8% barrel rate. It should only be a matter of time before he gets the call to take over at the hot corner for the Nationals.
Currently, Jose Tena and Amed Rosario have shared time at third base in D.C. Tena has posted a modest .707 OPS through 41 games, but has begun to heat up as of late. Rosario has also enjoyed a solid season but has only hit three home runs in 32 contests.
The former 11th overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft would provide a much-needed impact power bat to the heart of the Washington lineup.
