BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 51% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Jaguars might still be one, two, or more years away from real contention but at least QB Trevor Lawrence is finally finding his footing in the NFL surrounded by a bunch of nice pieces helping him getting there. Most recently, two of those skill-position players helping Lawerence improve his game have been TE Evan Engram and WR Zay Jones.
The former has scored three touchdowns in the past two weeks while getting a ridiculous 15 targets last Sunday. The latter, Jones, is coming off his third-best game of the year after putting up an 8-reception, 77-yard, 1-TD outing at Tennessee last weekend.
Jones had it rough back in Week 13 when he could only catch 2-of-7 targets thrown his way. Lawrence trusted Jones bouncing back though, and he was proven right. That's because Jones had gone 8-of-10 in Week 10 and 11-of-14 in Week 12, so the 8-of-12 he's just completed didn't quite surprise us keeping a close eye on him.
Jones might not be the flashiest or the most talked-about receiver out there. That said, he has the fourth-most targets from Week 10 up through Week 14 among all WRs on a per-game basis at nearly 11 and that volume alone makes him one of the most appealing players entering the fantasy playoffs.
