BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: Last week against the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Zach Charbonnet saw new career highs in both carries and targets. He finished the 17-16 loss with 15 carries for 47 yards while also catching all six of his targets for another 22 yards.
A big part of that was the absence of Kenneth Walker III, who left the game with an oblique injury. He had just four carries for 18 yards and also caught one pass for a two-yard loss.
Zach Charbonnet's fantasy value on Thursday is directly tied to Walker's availability. With Walker not practicing on Tuesday and the Seahawks playing on a short week, it would make a lot of sense for the team to hold Walker out.
Because of that, Zach Charbonnet projects to be a low-end RB2 play against a stout 49ers defense. If Walker is surprisingly able to play, Charbonnet would be downgraded to the RB3 range. Even if Walker plays, I'd expect him to be limited, so getting touches shouldn't be the issue for Charbonnet. It's just that the Niners allow the seventh-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. It's not a good matchup.
