BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~170 Overall
CURRENT ADP: 180+ (Undrafted)
ANALYSIS: The Seahawks drafted Will Dissly in 2018 with a fourth-round pick. Four games and eight receptions into the season, Dissly went down injured and missed the rest of his rookie year. Entering 2019 fantasy GMs were drafting Dissly as the TE29, hoping for at least a full year of production. That wasn't the case.
Will Dissly suffered a torn Achilles during the Week 6 matchup against the Browns, an injury that resulted in surgery and ended his season prematurely for the second year in a row. While his status for the 2020 campaign is unknown, the 23-year-old has reportedly progressed well during rehab, and thus, it is possible that he could be back for the start of the year.
As an insurance policy, the team signed long-time Carolina Panther Greg Olsen in addition to picking up a few tight ends in the 2020 NFL Draft. Olsen will likely be the No. 1 option if Dissly isn't in the picture. But Dissly was really productive last season despite the small sample size, finishing with 27 catches for 262 yards while hauling in at least one touchdown in three of his six appearances. He has the potential to produce on a week-to-week basis--as long as he can remain healthy--and will likely surpass his ADP if he can play.
Dissly is just 23 years old and although Olsen is now part of Seattle's roster, the future is all Dissly's to take with the veteran Olsen being just a short-term patch. Pretty much like a year ago, Dissly currently is the TE29 though if he can go for those dreamed-about 16 games he could very well finish as a high-end TE2 with upside for a TE1 finish if things break right for him playing under a top-tier QB in Russell Wilson.
