David Montgomery, RB, Lions

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery broke his two-game scoreless streak in Week 9, recording 51 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on 13 touches against the Minnesota Vikings. However, the veteran also fumbled in a key spot, leading to points for Minnesota that were critical in Detroit's 27-24 loss to its division rival.
Montgomery out-touched fellow Lions back Jahmyr Gibbs against the Vikings, but neither back was particularly efficient with their opportunities. Montgomery's workload has been fairly stable for much of 2025, as he's recorded between 12 and 15 touches in five out of eight games. The 28-year-old's minimal role in the passing game and limited rushing workload while sharing time with Gibbs make Montgomery very reliant on touchdowns for fantasy production.
He profiles as a low-end fantasy RB2/high-end flex option heading into a Week 10 matchup against the Washington Commanders.
Verdict: Remains a viable buy-low RB2 candidate as he should continue to see ample scoring opportunities playing a potent offense
Terry McLaurin, WR, Commanders

The Washington Commanders aren't expecting wide receiver Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) to play in the Week 10 contest against the Detroit Lions, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post. "I don't foresee (Terry McLaurin) making it for this weekend. Knowing it's game-game-bye, that has an effect. But I don't have a timetable today," head coach Dan Quinn said. McLaurin suffered a quad injury in Week 4 and missed four games.
When he returned in Week 8, the 30-year-old veteran aggravated the injury, and now he appears set to miss a second straight game this coming Sunday. The Commanders have their bye in Week 12, so it's entirely possible that we don't see McLaurin again until Week 13 on Sunday Night Football against the Denver Broncos. In addition to McLaurin's injury, Washington may have lost quarterback Jayden Daniels on Sunday night to a dislocated left elbow.
McLaurin's 2025 season so far has been a bust due to injuries, and he has only one touchdown on 13 receptions for 203 yards in four games.
Verdict: Only a buy-low candidate for teams with a top record who can stash him on their bench while he remains sidelined
CeeDee Lamb, WR, Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb caught seven of his 12 targets for 85 yards in Monday night's 27-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Lamb hasn't missed a beat since returning from his ankle injury in Week 7 against Washington, catching 19 of 30 targets for 260 yards and a touchdown in the past three games.
It was a slow start in the first half for the 26-year-old superstar, but he was able to turn in a solid fantasy day in a game where Dallas' offense wasn't at its best. Lamb has been a target hog this season, drawing at least 10 targets in four games despite only playing six games. Only seven other wide receivers this season have as many or more games. Lamb and the Cowboys will get a chance to regroup after their Week 10 bye.
Verdict: Remains an elite WR1 that could be acquired at a slight discount following this quiet showing and his upcoming bye week
Rashee Rice, WR, Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice led the team in receiving on Sunday and also found the end zone for the third straight game, this time on the ground. In KC's 28-21 loss on the road to the Buffalo Bills in Week 9, Rice led the team in catches (four), targets (seven), and receiving yards (80) while also carrying the ball twice for six yards and his first rushing touchdown of the year.
The 25-year-old continues to be the Chiefs' top offensive weapon despite making his season debut on Oct. 19 in the blowout win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Rice has now scored in all three of his games and has at least 80 receiving yards in two of his three games. In his season debut against the Raiders, the former second-rounder had only 42 receiving yards but found the end zone twice.
Rice and the Chiefs will now head into their bye before a big divisional clash in Week 11 versus the Denver Broncos.
Verdict: Buy-high candidate. Rice will continue to carry elite WR1 upside that is worth paying for
