Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
J.K. Dobbins, RB, Broncos
Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins was once again the lead back in Week 6, taking 14 touches for 40 yards and no touchdowns, averaging 2.86 yards per carry in Sunday's 13-11 win over the New York Jets. Although Dobbins received one target in the receiving game, he was certainly replaced by counterpart RJ Harvey in the passing game, who tied for second on the team in targets with four.
With Dobbins being a back who should continue to see a healthy number of carries, it's weeks like this when he has no touchdowns that could keep him a volatile option. Both teams had a tough time offensively in London in Week 6. Dobbins will look for more opportunities to score in Week 7 versus the New York Giants.
Tre Tucker, WR, Raiders
Tre Tucker burst onto the scene with a huge, three-touchdown game in Week 3 against the Commanders. He was the leading scorer for the entire week in PPR formats and is still in the top 10 at the position from that monster output. The next week, he only had two catches for 13 yards, and he was dropped back on many leagues' waiver wires right away.
In the two games since then, he has picked things back up with four catches for 62 yards and five catches for 70 yards. Last week against the Titans, he caught all five of his targets for 70 yards, including a couple of big gains. Tucker has the second-most targets and the second-most receptions on the team while leading the team in receiving yards. Since he has so much big-play potential, he will likely remain a boom-or-bust player from week to week.
At his best, he can be a WR2 or even a WR1, as he showed with his huge game against Washington, but he'll remain a very volatile play. If you need a one-week lottery ticket, he's not the worst option on the waiver wire, especially if you need help after the Raiders' Week 8 bye week. He has some tasty matchups later in the year, headlined by a Monday Night Football matchup with the Cowboys in Week 11.
DJ Moore, WR, Bears
Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore left the stadium after Monday's game in an ambulance and was taken to a local area hospital for what the team is calling "precautionary medical evaluation." He will remain in the area overnight, per the team. He caught three of his five targets for 42 yards in his team's win and was on the field for the final game-winning drive. Exactly what the injury or illness is that caused the need for the hospitalization is unclear at this point, or if it will impact his availability going forward.
Stay tuned for updates on Moore as the Bears are on a short week, hosting the Saints in Week 7 on Sunday afternoon. If Moore is unavailable, more work would potentially be available for Olamide Zaccheaus and rookie receiver Luther Burden III.
D'Andre Swift, RB, Bears
Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift gashed Washington for 108 yards on 14 carries and added two catches (three targets) for 67 yards through the air on Monday night, including a 57-yard touchdown. Swift was efficient on his carries all night as the Bears consistently used him on outside runs and got him into space.
His 108 rushing yards were his most in a game since last season against Washington, when he ran for 129 yards on 18 carries. The 26-year-old entered the night averaging just 3.3 yards per carry, but more than doubled that with an impressive 7.7 yards per attempt in this game. This breakout performance could signal better days for Swift in the future, and he'll rank in RB2 territory for Week 7 against the Saints.
