Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 4:
Jayden Daniels,
Justin Fields, QB, New York Jets
New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn reports on Monday that quarterback Justin Fields (concussion) will remain the team's starter once clearing concussion protocol. "Justin came in as our starter," Glenn said. "He's been our starter. Tyrod was the backup...So once Justin is clear, I'll let you know exactly where we're going."
It sounds like New York's new head coach isn't willing to give up on the 26-year-old QB just yet. With the Jets squaring off against the Dolphins on Monday Night Football, we may not receive an update regarding Fields until later in the week, but as of now, he should be on track to suit up for that contest.
However, if he can't, it'll be backup Tyrod Taylor calling signals once more. The Ohio State product will be one to monitor over the coming week.
Caleb Williams, QB, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams completed 19 of his 28 pass attempts for 298 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 3 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
He also rushed for 12 yards and didn't take a single sack. The former No. 1 pick had the best outing of his young career as he and the Bears secured their first win of the 2025 season.
He has quietly put together a terrific start to his second pro season, totaling eight touchdowns and one turnover while ranking as the overall QB2 in fantasy football so far. He's a top-12 option heading into Week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders and should be started in most leagues.
Daniel Jones, QB, Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones had another efficient and turnover-free performance in Sunday's 41-20 blowout win over the hosting Tennessee Titans in Week 4, throwing for 228 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions on 18-for-25 passing.
Don't look now, but through the first three weeks in 2025, Jones is the QB3 in fantasy with 816 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. He has added 55 rushing yards and three scores on 17 carries. Only Josh Allen and Caleb Williams have had more fantasy points. The Colts' strong ground game, led by running back Jonathan Taylor, has certainly helped Jones' cause.
Jones probably won't finish as a top-five fantasy QB when it's all said and done, but he's at least a strong QB2 option and occasional streamer in the right matchups. Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams won't be an ideal matchup to use him.
Jordan Love, QB, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has had to bank on efficiency through the first few weeks of the season. For all the great things about the Packers' offense that we've seen, it's not a friendly offense for fantasy football. Week 3 was more of the same for Love as he threw for just 183 yards with one touchdown and an interception against a tough Cleveland Browns defense.
Love has not been a top 12 fantasy quarterback once through three games, as he's capped out at QB13 in his Week 2 matchup against the Commanders, where Love threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns. Passing volume is a major concern for the Packers as well, as the Packers have just one game over 30 passing attempts since Week 9 of 2024: that same game against the Commanders in Week 2. That game was also just the fourth game of 20+ fantasy points for Love in his last 16 starts where he didn't leave the game, dating back to 2023.
The Packers have a prime matchup against the Cowboys, who have given up the most passing yardage in the NFL, but Love cannot be a trusted QB1 or even a streaming option. Given Love's capped ceiling of opportunity and lack of fantasy production within that, he's best left as a QB2 in two-quarterback leagues.
Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 19 of 33 pass attempts for 196 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in his team's 33-26 Week 3 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The 37-year-old is off to a solid start to his 2025 season, completing 66.3% of his passes for 739 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions through three games. Stafford's complete lack of rushing ability limits his fantasy upside. Still, he's averaging over 30 pass attempts per game while piloting a Rams offense that can put up points in bunches.
Stafford is worth rostering in all two-quarterback formats, and profiles as a low-end QB2 heading into his Week 4 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.
