Fantasy Football Draft Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider drafting in 2025:
Tucker Kraft - TE, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft enjoyed a nice sophomore season. He posted a 50-707-7 line and set new career highs across the board. Kraft would finish 2024 as the PPR TE10. In the immediate aftermath of Green Bay's season, head coach Matt LaFleur lamented the fact that the team did not further utilize Kraft and expressed his desire to further incorporate him into Green Bay's offense moving forward.
LaFleur has echoed those sentiments several times throughout the offseason as well. However, the team used a first-round pick to select wide receiver Matthew Golden in the 2025 NFL Draft. The addition of Golden further complicates an already crowded receiving core and marks a potential roadblock toward Kraft earning a larger role. Be that as it may, we should not entirely dismiss LaFleur's comments on Kraft.
He runs an offensive system very similar to the one run by Kyle Shanahan and the San Francisco 49ers. Perhaps the team sees Kraft as their version of George Kittle and plans to utilize him as such. With Kraft's average NFFC ADP of 122.86 overall, it won't cost gamers much to find out. If you plan to wait on tight end in your draft, Kraft's name should be at the top of your list.
Evan Engram - TE, Denver Broncos
Tight end Evan Engram, who was the 23rd overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft by the New York Giants out of Mississippi, had pretty much always teased high-end fantasy potential in his five years in the Big Apple. He had 722 receiving yards and a career-high six touchdowns in his rookie year but never again came close to matching or exceeding those marks with the G-Men. Engram put it all together in 2023 in his second year with the Jacksonville Jaguars, setting career-highs in receptions (114), targets (143) and receiving yards (963).
It came crashing down in 2024, though, as he played in only nine games due to hamstring and shoulder injuries and had a career-low 7.8 yards per catch before being shut down for the year. Although he's at the dreaded age of 30 in the NFL, Engram is healthy now and with a Denver Broncos team desperately searching for more production from the tight end position.
While nobody should be expecting Engram to see the kind of volume he had in 2023, he should be a reliable target for second-year QB Bo Nix in the intermediate are of the field and in the red zone. He could be Nix's No. 2 target behind Courtland Sutton, although he's probably going to need to find paydirt more often to be a legitimate TE1 in fantasy in 2025. RotoBaller has him ranked 10th at the position in his new digs.
David Njoku - TE, Cleveland Browns
Like many of the Cleveland Browns' offensive skill players in 2024, David Njoku didn't begin posting fantasy-viable stat lines until former teammate Jameis Winston took the reins at quarterback following Deshaun Watson's (Achilles) injury in Week 7. From then until Week 14 (the week before Winston's final start), Njoku was the PPR TE4. Over that stretch, he averaged 16.4 fantasy points per game, putting him right in line with the Cardinals' Trey McBride (16.6) and Miami's Jonnu Smith (16.5).
The 28-year-old has proven over the prior two campaigns that he can produce with the best of his position-mates. However, injuries and QB play have been an issue. In addition to a knee injury that forced him from the final two games of last year, he missed three with an ankle sprain early on and dealt with a hamstring ailment. At this time, veteran Joe Flacco would be the best for his value, but not a long-term solution for Cleveland. It seems likely that one of Dillon Gabriel, Kenny Pickett, or Shedeur Sanders could be manning the helm by season's end.
Fortunately, Njoku is still a top-two target on this team next to wideout Jerry Jeudy, and should be able to fend off new acquisitions WR Diontae Johnson, and rookie TE Harold Fannin Jr. He has all the physical gifts to dominate the position, but his output will largely depend on who eventually gets the job at QB. He's RotoBaller's PPR TE9 and No. 85 overall player.
Dalton Kincaid - TE, Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid had a quality rookie year, finishing with 73 catches for 673 yards and two scores. As a result, expectations were high for the 2023 No. 25 overall pick, especially with Stefon Diggs getting traded to Houston last offseason. Unfortunately, Kincaid had trouble getting anything going and would ultimately end the 2024 campaign with only 44 receptions for 448 yards and two touchdowns.
Even more concerning, he dealt with nagging knee issues that cost him three games while limiting him in other contests. With all that considered, can Kincaid get back on track in 2025? He focused on his body this offseason, adding strength and bulk in an attempt to stay healthy. The Bills receiving corps also doesn't have a true No. 1 option, at least one that will definitely maintain a lock on the spot throughout the season. Kincaid is currently the No. 11 tight end in RotoBaller's 2025 fantasy football rankings (standard and PPR formats).
Although some managers may be down on the 25-year-old after a dismal season, he's an excellent bounce-back candidate, assuming he stays healthy, potentially surpassing the production of Tucker Kraft, Evan Engram, and David Njoku, players who are ranked higher.
