Week 5 Wide Receiver Rankings & Matchups Analysis

Below you will find our Week 5 wide receivers rankings, to help determine your WR starts/sits for this week, brought to you by Bill Dubiel (@Roto_Dubs), Nick Mariano (@NMariano53) and Ben Ruppert (@Ben_Ruppert_21).

Lead columnist Bill Dubiel also highlights some WR rankings and matchups analysis for Week 5, and draws some matchup conclusions. He tells you who he likes, who he doesn't, and most importantly who he thinks you should be starting in Week 5.

Editor's Note: Be sure to check out FantasyAces DFS contests for Week 5. New users that sign up on Fantasy Aces and make a $20 deposit will receive RotoBaller's full season NFL Premium Pass for free (including Premium DFS), normally a $59.99 value. Week 5 Wide Receivers - Rankings & Matchups Analysis

Anybody see what Julio Jones did to the Panthers secondary last week? Yeah, I'm aware Mike Evans isn't Julio Jones, but he's CLOSE. He should have no trouble torching that depleted secondary, and I have him firmly locked in as a WR1. He scored in each of the team's first three games, and he should find the end zone against at some point on Monday.

I've gotta ding Kelvin Benjamin a bit this week with Derek Anderson under center instead of Cam Newton...or do I? It was Anderson who finally found Benjamin for a touchdown late in the Panthers' Week 4 loss, and the Tampa Bay secondary is notoriously generous to wide receivers. I'm only a shade lower than my colleagues, and it's just because I like the guys ahead of him more.

I still have faith that DeAndre Hopkins will bounce back in Week 5. I'm the highest on him by far of my colleagues, and I think it has everything to do with the "squeaky wheel" concept. Hopkins was critically underused in Week 4, and I think Bill O'Brien and Brock Osweiler will make a concentrated effort to get him the ball. The Vikings talented secondary can only do so much to contain a player like Nuk.

Demaryius Thomas has at least five catches and 90 yards in each of his last three games, and he's found the end zone in each of the last two. The Falcons secondary is very torchable, and both he and teammate Emmanuel Sanders should eat in this game. I've got the large-bodied Thomas as a high-end WR2 this week.

Quincy Enunwa should have no problem making an impact against a subpar Steelers secondary with teammate Eric Decker likely on the sidelines again. He's got the body type and the target share to produce as a fantasy wide receiver, as he'll do a ton of damage between the 20s with Brandon Marshall dominating in the red zone. There's legitimate WR2 upside here in PPR formats.

With Sammy Watkins out for the foreseeable future, Tyrod Taylor has to throw to someone, right? Enter Robert Woods, the former second-round pick and now de facto WR1 on the Buffalo offense. Woods showed what he can do in Week 4 with 89 yards on seven catches, and if he continues to see that kind of usage he'll be a flex-worthy player the rest of the way.

I kinda, sorta, not really but maybe believe in Dontrelle Inman. So far he leads the Chargers in routes run, and we finally saw the production match the potential in Week 4. Inman hung a 7-120-1 line on the nonexistent Saints defense, and his Week 5 opponent, the Raiders, don't offer much more resistance. I think Inman puts up flex value this week.
