Tyler Higbee is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for tight ends. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 13 of the 2023 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 39% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee got off to a strong start to the season, with 49 or more receiving yards in three of his first four games. Since then, he hasn't hit that mark a single time and has struggled overall over the last month or so of the season.
That could be changing after a huge Week 12 showing for Higbee, as he grabbed a pair of touchdowns in the Rams 37-14 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. He was targeted five times, catching all five passes for 29 yards.
Surprisingly, this performance came with Higbee playing a season-low 75% of the team's offensive snaps. He's gone below 90% in just two previous games. This week's snap rate feels a little noisy; what's more important is that Higbee saw some red zone usage in the victory.
Fantasy managers should be cautious with Higbee, especially with a tough matchup against the Browns coming up. Still, a team in a 14-team league with a need at tight end should grab Higbee off the waiver wire and hope that last week's showing is a sign of good things to come for the veteran player.
