BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 58% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Kyler Murray returned to the field for the first time this season on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. The player he targeted the most? Tight end Trey McBride, who caught eight of his nine targets for 131 yards in the team's 25-23 victory.
McBride struggled back in Week 9 against the Browns, but the week before he was targeted 14 times against Baltimore, catching 10 of those passes for 95 yards and a touchdown. This now makes two strong showings for McBride over the last three games.
At this point, it seems the only thing that could really impact McBride's upside is if Zach Ertz, who is currently on the IR with a quad injury, winds up playing a larger role once he's back. Ertz was getting McBride levels of usage earlier in the year.
McBride's been a much more dynamic offensive weapon than Ertz was though, which should allow him to maintain the No. 1 tight end role going forward for the Cardinals.
As far as fantasy goes, managers should consider McBride to be a mid-to-low-end TE1 play right now, with the chance for that to take a small dip when Ertz is back. If he's still out there on the waiver wire in your leagues, you should make sure to grab him this week ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Houston Texans.
