BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 33% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Rookie QB Joe Burrow hasn't had the easiest of starts to his career. Cincinnati has been trailing more often than not, and that has forced the quarterback to throw the hell out of the ball every single week. That has translated in 110 passes to wideouts so far this season, and although A.J. Green was the go-to target in the first two weeks, that has changed and the Bengals' is now a Higgins-Boyd-eat-first offense.
The ascension of Tee Higgins has been awesome to watch. He's gone from being targeted zero times in W1 to 6, 9, and finally 7 in Week 4. His snaps went from 15 to a season-high of 60 and he's averaging 53 in the last three games. And it makes all of the sense.
Higgins has caught 12 of his 22 targets, and although his catch rate is fairly low so far, he's racked up 35+ yards in each of the last three games and had his best outing this past Sunday with 4 receptions for 77 yards. He couldn't score (he had 2 TDs in W3) this time around, but the opportunities are there and he's improving by the week with 21 and 13 PPR points in his last two outings.
Baltimore, Cincinnati's next foe, ranks 18th in preventing points from WRs, which bodes well for Higgins in an offense than once for all seems to be fading a washed-up A.J. Green. Consider Higgins a good FLEX play for 12-team-and-deeper leagues with upside to entering the WR2 realm if things click--and they most probably will against a Ravens team that will take the lead and force Burrow to throw a lot again.
