BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 1% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: I won't sugarcoat it: from a surface-level view, the prognosis on T.J. Yeldon looks rather grim. Former Alabama back had very little to show for his first year with the Buffalo Bills in 2019 and has had just a single week to boast of so far in 2020. In three weeks of true action this season, Yeldon was almost completely absent from Buffalo's Week Four matchup against Las Vegas and ended up completely absent in the Bills' most recent game against Kansas City as Zack Moss returned to the backfield in a role behind Devin Singletary. Despite this depressing onslaught of information, there might be hope yet for T.J. Yeldon.
Yeldon is sleepily one of the more astute pass-catching backs in the NFL since he entered the league, having accrued 1,448 yards and seven touchdowns receiving with the Jaguars and Bills since 2015 off of 185 receptions out of 252 targets. While he has seen only four targets and a lone reception this season, that catch ended up as a 22-yard touchdown in Week Five against the Titans, a game in which he also took seven carries for 42 yards.
When adding up his total work on the ground, Yeldon has accumulated 70 rushing yards from ten carries, good for a highly-efficient 7.0 Y/A. When observing that Yeldon's total participation in Buffalo offensive snaps jumped from 10%, to 13%, to 39% from Week Three to Week Five (six, eight, and 28 total, respectively), and the fact that the Bills had trouble jump-starting the offense against the Chiefs, we could once again see T.J. Yeldon earn more respect and prominence from the backfield and pass-attack this upcoming week against the Jets.
