BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 50% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Sony Michel was able to score his first touchdown of the season against the Seahawks last Thursday. It took Michel four games, 34 carries, and 4 targets to arrive at his Week 5 scoring-performance, but he finally broke for a score and we can just hope that is on the future of the tailback as he establishes himself as Darrel Henderson Jr.'s second fiddle.
Michel isn't someone I would advise losing your budget on, or chasing hard on the WW this week. Henderson is above him in the pecking order, and unless Darrell doesn't get injured he should keep commanding most of the workload. That being said, though, Michel proved last Thursday what he's capable of. In just 11 carries (and going 1-for-1 for 8 receiving yards) Michel scored a touchdown and racked up 37 yards for an average of 3.4 YPC.
The Rams had it easy on TNF, and that helped Michel having some more opportunities here and there while limiting Henderson's upside. Even then, Darrell played a "low" 63% of the offensive snaps compared to Michel's ultra-low 34%. These two are good tailbacks, but Henderson is the RB1/RB2 fantasy play of this backfield while Michel is a flier at the RB3/FLEX spot for now. Worth rostering just in case, but definitely not a lock to start weekly unless you're part of a really deep league.
