BALLER MOVE: Sit in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs has arguably been the team’s most consistent pass catcher this season. He is the WR36 for the year, averaging 9.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The second-year wide receiver has stepped up when the Packers haven’t had Christian Watson because of injury.
Last week, Doubs had an impressive performance despite facing a challenging matchup against the Carolina Panthers. He had four receptions on five targets for 79 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 15.9 fantasy points. The wide receiver also had an impressive downfield catch late in the contest to set up the game-winning field goal attempt by Anders Carlson.
While Green Bay didn’t have Watson or Jayden Reed last week, the team will have Reed back for tonight’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The NFC North division rivals have surrendered 29.7 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, 10.1% higher than the league average.
When the Packers and Vikings met in Week 8, Minnesota gave up 28.7 fantasy points to Green Bay’s wide receiver core. However, Doubs had the only receiving touchdown from the unit.
The RotoBaller rankings say fantasy players should sit the second-year wide receiver. Yet, I believe he is a solid flex option or WR3 in Week 17.
