BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 32% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Truth be told, Preston Williams hasn't had the best of starts to this season. The sophomore has been targeted 14 times already but has only been able to catch five of those passes for 74 yards through three games in 2020. The most encouraging thing for Williams and his fantasy truthers, though, are the snaps he keeps playing and the chances Fitzpatrick is still giving him.
The targets went down this past week, sure, but Williams still was on the field for 35 offensive snaps and leads the Dolphins in combined snaps played through three weeks (152 to DeVante Parker's 145). He's the WR2 of Miami and he should keep that role going forward. Although Williams could only catch two passes against Jacksonville, he was only targeted those two times and he still converted them into 7 yards and most importantly, a touchdown. It's his most efficient game of the year and saved his day allowing him to reach 8.7 PPR points.
Williams shouldn't be seen as more than a FLEX play for deep-league fantasy GMs, but if you happen to be one of them you can do much worse getting wideout help through waivers this week. The Seahawks are facing Miami next weekend and they allowed 400 yards to Atlanta and 330 to New England to start the season. That, combined with QB Ryan Fitzpatrick throwing-prowess and the fact that Miami will surely trail makes for a negative gamescript that should favor William's chances to rack up points in W4.
