Zach Eflin Pitches Well Friday
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin was sharp Friday night allowing two runs, one earned, while striking out six in 6 1/3 innings pitched. Eflin did walk four in the game, which is out of character for him, but none of those walks came around to score as Eflin improved his record to 6-5. His ERA looks good at 2.88 but his 4.84 xFIP and 4.62 SIERA suggest Eflin has been lucky up to this point and it might be a good idea to cash out now and try and sell high. Still, Eflin does have two complete games on the season so he is certainly capable of being dominant, a rare ability for a pitcher that can be had on waivers in many leagues. Eflin should be owned in any league deeper than 12 teams and is a viable streamer in all leagues when he has a good matchup. He'll face the Diamondbacks at home in his next start Wednesday.
