10/2:Cleveland Indians catcher Yan Gomes (thumb) still has stitches in his right thumb and is not playing in the intrasquad game on Tuesday, but he said he should be good to play in Game 1 of the American League Division Series against the Astros on Friday. Gomes was injured over the weekend but should serve as the team's primary catcher during the playoffs. He hit .266/.313/.449 with 16 home runs and 48 RBI in 112 games this year for the Tribe. He'll have a tough matchup in Game 1 against Astros ace Justin Verlander.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
